Earlier today, Pope Francis delivered an address to the Convention of the Italian Church held at the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore in Florence.
Though he did not specifically mention by name the Synod on Marriage and Family, much less the anticipated Apostolic Exhortation that it allegedly inspired, Pope Francis did reveal, or perhaps more accurately said, he confirmed, his upcoming plan of attack aimed at removing and all obstacles that might stand between unrepentant public sinners (and eventually even non-Catholics) and the Most Holy Eucharist.
On a number of occasions during the address, the humble Bishop of Rome drew from the treasury of faith belonging to his most cherished go-to source for theological insight; himself.
Quoting from Evangelii Gaudium, for example, he said:
The humanity of the Christian is always outward-looking. … Please, let us avoid ‘remaining shut up within structures which give us a false sense of security, within rules which make us harsh judges, within habits that make us feel safe.’
Here, Francis is referring to article no. 49 of that wondrous well of wisdom some 53,000 words deep; the same of which Cardinal Burke once famously remarked, “It’s a distinct kind of document, and I haven’t quite figured out in my mind exactly how to describe it. But I would not think that it was intended to be part of papal magisterium. At least that’s my impression of it.”
Reading this portion of Evangelii Gaudium now in hindsight, one discovers a hint, given all the way back in November of 2013, of Francis’ intent to open wide the doors of Holy Communion to all comers in the name of mercy.
Let’s take a closer look:
Let us go forth, then, let us go forth to offer everyone the life of Jesus Christ. Here I repeat for the entire Church what I have often said to the priests and laity of Buenos Aires: I prefer a Church which is bruised, hurting and dirty because it has been out on the streets, rather than a Church which is unhealthy from being confined and from clinging to its own security. (EG 49)
One notices yet again the humbleness of he who cannot help but quote himself. In spite of being truly tragic, it’s actually somewhat hilarious.
That said, the key statement to be found here, however, is this: to offer everyone the life of Jesus Christ…
How exactly does the Church offer the life of Christ to her children most profoundly?
In the Most Holy Eucharist, of course.
Francis continued:
I do not want a Church concerned with being at the centre and then ends by being caught up in a web of obsessions and procedures. If something should rightly disturb us and trouble our consciences, it is the fact that so many of our brothers and sisters are living without the strength, light and consolation born of friendship with Jesus Christ, without a community of faith to support them, without meaning and a goal in life. More than by fear of going astray, my hope is that we will be moved by the fear of remaining shut up within structures which give us a false sense of security, within rules which make us harsh judges, within habits which make us feel safe, while at our door people are starving and Jesus does not tire of saying to us: “Give them something to eat” (Mk 6:37). (ibid.)
Though it is hardly necessary for most readers, please allow me to translate these statements relative to the “pastoral practices” currently in question (at least in the minds of the revolutionaries):
I want the Church to relax her procedures with regard to Holy Communion. Let not your consciences be troubled when the civilly divorced and remarried, the cohabitating, active homosexuals and other unrepentant public sinners are called forth to receive the Most Holy Eucharist; rather, be troubled when they are excluded! These people are starving! Did not Jesus say, “Give them something to eat”? Therefore, I will take steps to open wide the doors to Holy Communion for all!
During his address given today in Florence, Pope Francis hammered on this theme further by engaging in one of his favorite pastimes; belittling so-called “traditionalists” (aka Catholics) saying:
The first [temptation to be avoided] is that of Pelagianism, which leads the Church not to be humble, selfless and blessed. … Often it leads us even to assuming a style of control, of hardness, normativity. Rules give to the Pelagian the security of feeling superior, of having a precise orientation. In this it finds its strength, not in the soft breath of the Spirit. Faced with the ills or the problems of the Church, it is useless to seek solutions in conservatism or fundamentalism, in the restoration of outdated forms and conduct that have no capacity for meaning, even culturally.
Did you get that?
“Forms,” like the Traditional Latin Mass, and “conduct,” like approaching Holy Communion only when properly disposed, are “outdated” and without meaning; never mind religious meaning, hell, they don’t even have cultural meaning!
Now, pay very close attention to the words that he chose to speak as he continued:
Christian doctrine is not a closed system incapable of generating questions, doubts and uncertainties, but it is living, it knows how to disturb and to encourage. Its face is not rigid, it has a body that moves and develops, it has tender flesh; Christian doctrine is called Jesus Christ.
When have we heard such commentary before?
Well, for one, about two months ago when Pope Francis (who loves him some Pope Francis) sent a video message to a gathering of theologians in Argentina wherein he said:
Doctrine is not a closed system, with no dynamics that generate questions, doubts, queries. By contrast, the Christian doctrine has a face, has a body, has flesh, His name is Jesus Christ…
Yes, that’s right, the hilarity continues – he’s quoting himself yet again!
Of far more importance for those who may be so naïve as to think that the Kasperian Proposal died at the Synod, however, one should note that Pope Francis is not only quoting himself here, he is also quoting Cardinal Walter Kasper.
In a sit down with the Italian daily Il Mattino, “mafia club” member Walter Kasper (street name, “the Ghost”) said of those cardinals who had voiced opposition to his radical proposals concerning Holy Communion for the civilly divorced and remarried:
They claim to know on their own what truth is, but Catholic doctrine is not a closed system, but a living tradition that develops. They want to crystallize the truth in certain formulas … the formulas of tradition. None of my brother cardinals has ever spoken with me. I, on the other hand, have spoken twice with the Holy Father. I arranged everything with him. He was in agreement.
This interview was given in September of 2014. That’s right, over one year ago; in the tumultuous lead up to the Extraordinary Synod.
So, you see, when Pope Francis parroted Walter Kasper in suggesting that Catholic doctrine is “not a closed system” in his address given earlier today in Florence, there can be no doubt whatsoever that he is speaking with the matters addressed at the recently concluded Synod, and more specifically, his upcoming Apostolic Exhortation, in mind.
So, did Francis give us anything concrete that might be considered insight into the document’s contents?
Yes, he gave us quite a bit, saying:
But then, you will ask, what must we do? What is the Pope asking of us? It is up to you to decide: people and pastor together.
There you have it, folks; the upcoming Apostolic Exhortation will state precisely what Eugenio Scalfari reported to be the words of the pope:
… for that which regards the admission of the divorced to the Sacraments … this is the bottom line result, the de facto appraisals are entrusted to the confessors, but at the end of faster or slower paths, all the divorced who ask will be admitted.
In his Florence address, Francis went on to address his desire concerning the role of the bishops:
I ask the bishops to be pastors. Nothing more: pastors. May this be your joy: ‘I am a pastor’. It will be the people, your flock, who support you. … May nothing and no-one remove from you the joy of being supported by your people. As pastors, do not be preachers of complex doctrines, but rather announcers of Christ, Who died and rose again for us. Focus on the essential, the kerygma. There is nothing more solid, profound and sure than this announcement. But may it be all the people of God who announce the Gospel, people and pastors.
Francis wants pastors who not only smell like the sheep, but who rely upon the sheep for support! So much for reliance upon Jesus Christ; the Good Shepherd to whom they are configured in order to teach, sanctify and govern in His name and with His authority.
Expanding upon his vision of a quasi-democratic church, Francis continued (quoting himself and his address to the theologians in Argentina once more):
May the Church be a leaven for dialogue, encounter, unity. Indeed, our very formulations of faith are the fruit of dialogue and encounter between different cultures, communities and claims. We must not be afraid of dialogue; on the contrary, it is precisely comparison and criticism that helps us to preserve theology from being transformed into ideology.
These are the words of a dyed-in-the-wool modernist. Period.
He is telling the bishops to avoid preaching the doctrine of the Church as it has always been preserved and preached, but rather to enter into Almighty Dialogue with the sheep in order to fashion new “formulations of faith.”
Lest one harbor even a shred of doubt that Jorge Bergoglio is fully committed to inflicting upon the entire Church the tenets of modernism, this “synthesis of all heresies” wherein its adherents show forth “the reforming mania which possesses them [such that] in all Catholicism there is absolutely nothing on which it does not fasten” (Pope St. Pius X, Pascendi Dominici Gregis), note that Francis even went so far as to say:
I would like a restless Italian Church, ever closer to the abandoned, the forgotten, the imperfect. I wish for a joyful Church with the face of a mother, who understands, accompanies and caresses. May you too dream of this Church, believe in her, innovate freely.
Rest assured, my friends, on this note, Jorge Bergoglio intends to lead by example: He simply will not rest until he has done everything in his power (i.e., abusing it) to innovate whatever he can, however he damn well pleases.
Someone has to stop this maniac, but sadly it would seem that we have reached the point in this terrible crisis when even the best of men in Rome have not the faith to stand up and challenge him.
Know this: Our Lord loves us too much to allow this madness to continue. At some point, God only knows when, He will allow something truly terrible to take place that will bring the entire human family to its collective knees, so that we might turn our gaze toward Him and be saved.
No doubt, it will be painful beyond comprehension, but perhaps there are those reading this now who will live long enough to see the results:
The elevation of truly Holy Father who will do as Our Blessed Lady has asked, opening the way for the triumph of the Immaculate Heart at long last.
Mr. Humble: “I”. “I don’t want a church…”
This is supposedly the Vicar of Christ? Did Christ give him authority to invent a church of his own making while he is supposed to be His representative on earth and defend the Truth, the whole of it?
Have we ever before in Church history heard any pope dare to suppose he can transform Christ’s Church into what he wants?
The arrogance and pride of this apostate is unbelievable.
Bergoglio says: “What is the Pope asking of us?”.
You can always try reading one, Jorge.
When will Cardinal Burke and others like him put their money where their mouth is?
Let’s pray for at least a couple of bishops willing to stand up like St. Paul did.
“Rules give to the Pelagian the security of feeling superior, of having a precise orientation. In this it finds its strength, not in the soft breath of the Spirit.”
Do we laugh or cry?!
First, what on Earth does “feeling superior” (I marvel at how often his language smacks of “early high school”) have to do with a *precise orientation*? Second, Francis’ constant contempt of the spiritual peace of the soul that says “how I love your laws, O Lord” is telling indeed.
Holy Father, I fear that you will one day observe with horror what you deem “the soft breath of the Spirit” morphing into the sharp end of a pitchfork in your backside.
Bergoglio speaks such incoherent goo. Perhaps his criticisms of a hide-bound Church might be appropriate of another time, but not our present age. The exact opposite criticism is merited. What this man proposes is the dissolution of the Church, the Ark of Salvation. The Ark too exclusive? Let all the animals in! The atmosphere too stuffy and constricting? Remove some planks to let the air in! Water rushing in and drowning everyone! Oopsy! At least we’re all going down together accompanied by gentle sea creatures like the shark. Madness. Bergoglio is a modernist and needs to be called so by at least one cardinal, if for no other reason than the sake his soul. The man is in serious error.
Bergoglio is a veritable spiritual Caligula!
If the situation as described comes to pass (and it truly looks as if this is what is planned) then any sane Catholic surely must ask – are we fast approaching a time of formal heresy? Because such an agenda is a denial or abandonment of the Church’s constant infallible teaching and universal discipline on so many levels I hardly know where to begin.
It would mean that the Church’s doctrine and universal discipline concerning the sacraments has been erroneous and unjust from time immemorial, and if that is the case how could it be trusted on any teaching ever again? Such a scenario would in practice mean the disintegration of the Catholic Church through the rejection of her unique claims and the dismantling of her authority. She would be reduced to an Anglican-like institution which is nothing but the dead remains of what was once Catholicism. Truly one can only conclude that this project comes from the minds of men who hate the Catholic Faith and seek its utter ruin.
Dear Father Mann,
You have spoken like a True Catholic and you have presented this very serious crisis in the Church most accurately. The enemies of the Holy Roman Catholic Church, including Satan and his demons, must be celebrating this dreadful papacy and the miserable postconciliar papacies which have led to this moment. We need priests like yourself to band together in defense of Our Lord’s Church. Confused and disheartened faithful need a guiding light in these times of darkness. Please tell us, the Church Militant ready to go into battle, how we could help you and other priests who are ready to become courageous crusaders in the battles yet to come.
God bless you and your Holy Priesthood.
St.Michael the Archangel, defend us in the day of battle.

“Truly one can only conclude that this project comes from the minds of men who hate the Catholic Faith and seek its utter ruin.” Father – truer words were never spoken!
Dear My2Cents,
There is no easy answer because the authority for the most part is in the hands of a modernist and Conciliarist hierarchy utterly dedicated to the ongoing revolution in its broad strokes. Barring a miracle I really can’t see anyone on the horizon at that level who is going take the fight all the way. Hopefully I’m wrong. We really need a warrior Pope who is holy, orthodox and brave, who will attend to the running sores inflicted by Vatican II and aspects of the later Magisterium and post-Conciliar disciplines that furthered the decline.
At a personal level I would say, have as little to do with the Novus Ordo in as far as that is possible for you. I know that is such a difficulty because in vast swathes of the Church its all there is. So I would minimise my connections with it and if possible attend TLM. I would recommend studying the teaching of the pre-Conciliar Popes, they are clear, precise and utterly Catholic in their thinking and writing unlike the Vatican 2 Popes and their tortured verbose encyclicals.
But above all we have to be heroically patient and realise that it is the Lord’s battle and the victory will be His but it may come in a way and manner we least expect. In the meantime hold to the ancient Faith, and be steadfast in prayer. All this is permitted by God for his own kind purposes but be assured He will never abandon his Church just as she can never defect from Him. I hope that is some help but will be a time of real tribulation.
The only solution is biological.
And the hierarchy sits and listens to his evil blasphemy and constant attacks on the Deposit of Faith and calls for sin and disorder and rejection of the Faith and God’s Law. Never has there been so much evil in the Church – it’s been totally eclipsed.
It is bolder and bolder offences against God, mocking and blaspheming God in public, to the bishops – and no cry out in horror and condemnation allowing him and his many collaborators to increase the flagrant attacks and contempt for God and the souls to which they have the most grave duty.
No, the only answer is holiness, responding to God’s call and help.
Too true.
Dear Father Mann,
Thank you for your response. I believe there are many priests who are starting to think as you do. Let us pray that God gives them the fortitude and courage to leave the Novus Ordo and devote their priesthood to the True Catholic Church and the Mass of All Time. Your advice is very wise and should be proclaimed from the pulpit by priests and all clergy who wish to be true Shepherds. As Tradition grows, the Modernist Novus Ordo Church will go the way of the world and its final decline.
Our Lady, Help of Christian, pray for us.
I obviously dont know this for sure but I have to believe that Bp Sanborn is looking at this craziness and saying to himself “Why is everyone so surprised….this has been in the works for decades.”
‘Jesus [how dare Bergog ursurp mock and even mention his despised Saviour] does not tire of saying to us: “Give them something to eat” (Mk 6:37).
–
Beroglio is indefatigable in his ability, however, to serve up shit.
–
Louie said, ‘That’s right…he’s quoting himself again!’ By now, only a ‘special needs’ ‘self-professed Catholic’ should be ignorant of the fact that the Novus Ordo and its revelation of Vatican II are self-reflexive. If there is any Catholicism evinced it is merely as a vampire sucks the blood of the living to keep in motion. And what a motion.
Are people really surprised? or just pretending to be in order to stave off the inevitable acceptance of the unparalelled gravity of 50 years of heresiarchs occupying emtpy sees and feeding people stones like there was no tomorrow; but worse, two generations of supposedly traditional Catholics supporting the whole parade of the murder of Catholicism in every parish by ‘keeping faith’ with the whole novelty. The only Catholic parishes that exist are in exile. It’s a tough truth.
God doesn’t have to bring all of humanity to its knees, although He might.
He really only has to take out Pope Francis. And I think He is going to do
that very soon.
By the Blood of Christ offered up by a remnant of Catholic priests for the sake of salvation, God have mercy on his soul…hopefully before the inevitable (for every single one of us) for not only his sake, but the deceived of the world.

I fully agree with you….how any person with a brain and some common sense is surprised at what is seen day after day coming out of the den of evil, aka Rome, makes no sense to me either anymore. I truly believe that for most there is nothing Mr. Bergoglio could do to convince them that he is not a Catholic Pope. I literally believe that he could take a consecrated Host and spit on it and most would still call him their “pope”. Its almost at the point of complete lunacy how these people think.
I would be battered by the implications for onlookers but not be ‘surprised’ (the host would (unless he took special measures) not be consecrated)). It was with the Bishop Saint Ignatius of Antioch, that the word Catholic came to be used so that we understand that we belong to Christ’s Universal Bride whereby we find salvation. The word has been so abused by the Counterfeit Vatican II Novus Ordo Institution (almost as abused as Christ in His Passion).
–
God bless.
PS. If the current heresiarch kicks-it soon, expect a Novus Ordo quakonisation extravaganza before you can say ‘Vatican Two’.
“But then, you will ask, what must we do? What is the Pope asking of us? It is up to you to decide: people and pastor together.”
OK, Holy Father, we have decided you ought to resign.
The Church says Truth guides us to holiness.

Bearing with the Faults of Others
UNTIL God ordains otherwise, a man ought to bear patiently whatever he cannot correct in himself and in others. Consider it better thus–perhaps to try your patience and to test you, for without such patience and trial your merits are of little account. Nevertheless, under such difficulties you should pray that God will consent to help you bear them calmly.
If, after being admonished once or twice, a person does not amend, do not argue with him but commit the whole matter to God that His will and honor may be furthered in all His servants, for God knows well how to turn evil to good. Try to bear patiently with the defects and infirmities of others, whatever they may be, because you also have many a fault which others must endure.
If you cannot make yourself what you would wish to be, how can you bend others to your will? We want them to be perfect, yet we do not correct our own faults. We wish them to be severely corrected, yet we will not correct ourselves. Their great liberty displeases us, yet we would not be denied what we ask. We would have them bound by laws, yet we will allow ourselves to be restrained in nothing. Hence, it is clear how seldom we think of others as we do of ourselves.
If all were perfect, what should we have to suffer from others for God’s sake? But God has so ordained, that we may learn to bear with one another’s burdens, for there is no man without fault, no man without burden, no man sufficient to himself nor wise enough. Hence we must support one another, console one another, mutually help, counsel, and advise, for the measure of every man’s virtue is best revealed in time of adversity–adversity that does not weaken a man but rather shows what he is.

If a commenter were to say, it’s fine to worship a hindu goddess, especially given the example of Wojtyla; or multiple divorces and remarriages are fine; or Thomas was addressing consecrated celebate brethren whom he was deluding with his Catholicism…I guess, EM, you would ‘bear patiently’ in silence…could you. Never comment again on HTF?
Pls read this short article, as i understand it the bishops conference of the us are preposing that protestants of the lutheran sect heretics & schismatics be addmitted to receive Our Lords body & blood the holy eucharist ( that they do not beleive in ) .
http://www.livingchurch.org/shared-communion-breakthrough
Wojtyla made this an official part of the Novus Ordo with the ‘N.O. ‘canon’ 844 paragraph 2…….which contradicts 1917 canon 1258.

The Protestants Speak: ‘in matters of faith and morals the bishops speak in the name of Christ, and the faithful are to accept their teaching and adhere to it with a religious assent of soul. This religious submission of will and of mind must be shown in a special way to the authentic teaching authority of the “Roman Pontiff”, even when he is not speaking ex cathedra.” Lumen Gentium, ch. 3, n. 25.
If not, stick to quoting Novus Ordo heroes. There should be no need, given the ‘aggiornamento’, to reference real Saints.
I wish Louie would do a Pop Album for Neo-Catholics with the same title. I wouldn’t mind listening to the Neverly Brothers again!!
“Greeeeen, Green, Green”!!!!!
“It would mean that the Church’s doctrine and universal discipline concerning the sacraments has been erroneous and unjust from time immemorial, and if that is the case how could it be trusted on any teaching ever again?”
Yes, exactly. But don’t Bergolio and his cohorts explain this away by saying “that was then… this is now”? Church teaching was great in those days for those people, but we are in different times. I know this is erroneous, but the gullible, lulled masses will smack their foreheads and say “well, duh, yeah!”
The problem is that the average Catholic in the pew (or more to the point, NOT in the pew) has been dumbed down since the 1950s, more and more with each generation, to the point that they simply don’t know their Faith anymore. The Modernists are reaping now what they have so meticulously sown. Who will stop them?
Salvemur- i know what you mean with changes in the 1983 code and i dont agree with them but my point above is regarding non catholics receiving the sacraments the 1258 code is about catholics not participating in non catholic rites which as you state was changed 844 new code paragraph 2 allows under certain conditions to receive valid sacraments from non catholics ie greek/russian orthdox. My point is that even by the 1983 code they cant legally do what they want to do. paragraph 4 states
§4 If there is a danger of death or if, in the judgment of the diocesan Bishop or of the Episcopal Conference, there is some other grave and pressing need, Catholic ministers may lawfully administer these same sacraments to other Christians not in full communion with the Catholic Church, who cannot approach a minister of their own community and who spontaneously ask for them, provided that they manifest the Catholic faith in respect of these sacraments and are properly disposed.
So according to 1983 code para 4 the reason the modenists in the church would give the 3 sacraments of penance, eucharist and annointing to a non catholic would be if this was approved by a conference of bishiops which it looks like has already happened then they would need 4 conditions to do so
1. Cannot approach 1 of their own ministers
2. Must spontaneously ask for them
3. They must manifest the CATHOLIC faith in respect to the sacrament they are to receive .
4. Must be properly disposed. Ie free from mortal sin.
Obviously to demostrate the catholic faith in regards to the holy eucharist they would have to accept the dogma of transubstantiation which by their adhrence to the herectical and schismatic religion of lutheranism they do not.
I know this is all smoke so as to invite every1 into the soon 1 world relgion and denigrate the sacredness of the most blessed sacrament our lord himself. But even by their own documents they fail. Bottom line a lutheran that does not want to convert from their errors and hold catholic faith cannot be allowed by the authorities of the church to be admitted to the sacraments save baptism
Francis: “If something should rightly disturb us and trouble our consciences, it is the fact that so many of our brothers and sisters are living without the strength, light and consolation born of friendship with Jesus Christ, without a community of faith to support them, without meaning and a goal in life.”
–
What sheer hypocrisy!!! Coming from the same man who confirms Mohameddans, Jews, atheists, and all manner of other infidels and heretics in their unbelief!! From the man who tells Muslims to stick to their faith! From the man who tells atheists that they will go to heaven (for Bergoglio – is that the Freemasonic “great celestial lodge”?) if they follow their conscience? From the man that says that proselytism (i.e. bringing souls to Christ) is “solemn nonsense”!
It doesn’t stop there by any stretch…
“…at our door people are starving and Jesus does not tire of saying to us: “Give them something to eat” (Mk 6:37). (ibid.)”
And yet the same man refuses his alleged children spiritual nourishment, starving his “children” of sound doctrine and access to the traditional sacraments (stamping out of the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate etc)…
Good Lord…
I think this one is a classic:
“…the humble Bishop of Rome drew from the treasury of faith belonging to his most cherished go-to source for theological insight; himself.”
LOL!
Good one Louie… 😉
A tiny minority has, that is…
Since the Church-of-Man is a “democracy” – although as we have seen at the Sin-Nod, well, more like an iron-fisted tyranny – but at any rate, democracies are ruled by “majority rule” (i.e. the “mob/rabble”) and the “mob” (i.e. Neo-Caths) have decided that gay-friendly Bergoglio is a super-duper cool guy, the awesomest man to sit in the Chair of Peter for 2000 years, and that we want more people like him to guide the Church-of-Man for another 2000 years.
–
So – I reckon we will have to wait for a divine chastisement before we observe a change of winds…
Myself, I can smell the winds of WWIII not too far off.
I hate this guy. There I said it. I hate this guy.
That is the first thing that struck me. They all just sit there, bishops, listening to a pope that shouts heresy. The same was true during the synod. I am amazed a brawl did not break out there. Now we know where we are heading. Too much time has passed already in this codependent situation. The longer we wait now, the more difficult it will be to correct these errors. Never give the enemy time to regroup. There is nothing else to wait for now. It is time for action on the part of the clergy for there has been more than enough talk. It is time to lean upon the grace of our Confirmation and stand up! A bishop tapped my cheek to remind me of our duty. It is time for the bishops to remember theirs.
You may be interested in the Catholic Encyclopedia’s article on “Hatred”. It includes the following remarks, which I quote without comment, but to which I have added emphases in bold:
“Theologians commonly mention two distinct species of [hatred]. One (odium abominationis, or loathing) is that in which the intense dislike is concentrated primarily on the qualities or attributes of a person…. The second sort (odium inimicitiae, or hostility) aims directly at the person… This second kind of hatred…is always sinful and may be grievously so. The first-named species of hatred, in so far as it implies the reprobation of what is actually evil, is not a sin and may even represent a virtuous temper of soul. In other words, not only may I, but I even ought to, hate what is contrary to the moral law. Furthermore one may without sin go so far in the detestation of wrongdoing as to wish that which for its perpetrator is a very well-defined evil, yet under another aspect is a much more signal good. For instance, it would be lawful to pray for the death of a perniciously active heresiarch with a view to putting a stop to his ravages among the Christian people. Of course, it is clear that this apparent zeal must not be an excuse for catering to personal spite or party rancour.”
Dear Fr Mann,
–
Thank you for your most cogent thoughts and words of advice. I hope we will read more comments from you in the combox in the future! 🙂
God Bless.
Loathe IS a better word, thanks for the clarity Dumb_ox, you must be a true Catholic. Catholics love clarity because the entire deposit of the faith is as clear as a bell. I loathe this guy and what he’s doing to the Papacy. I can’t stand reading anything he says; he is walking obfuscation. He is evil personified. He is stupid and useless. I’m a Catholic who hates this Pope, loathes this Pope. I talk about this every day to the Holy Spirit. He’s helping me ignore all things Francis, but some headlines just draw me in. God is cleaning house, that is clear to me. Everything is revealed, that’s His style. But the way it turns out is beyond our comprehension; the Church will prevail.
How tragic this is. The whole reason I became a Catholic was I could anchor my Faith on the unchanging Dogma of the Church. The clarity of the teachings give me peace and joy.
He is really pissing me off attacking the faith that I love. He is outright attacking those that follow the doctrines of the church as closed minded and intolerant for doing so. What do I tell my 6 children? We really need to go into battle mode. I don’t know what recourse the real Bishops have but they need to investigate St. Galen mafia and formally excommunicate this imposter. Man, Louie nailed this guy from the beginning. Bravo! Louie keep up the great work.
Even though doctrine can never be formally changed by ANYONE, the appearance of change will drive many good souls to abandon Christianity if we are not absolutely crystal clear that any so-called “formal” change to doctrine is automatically null and void. This doesn’t discount the possibility or likelihood of a crisis in the papacy and/or some knee-jerk schism, but the Deposit of Faith is what we must encourage everyone to cling to until this storm passes. Marriage doesn’t change because someone decides to redefine it, and doctrine doesn’t change because someone chooses to redefine it. Truth is unchanging, otherwise Christ is changing and the whole thing is a fraud. We know and believe, with the gift of faith, that God doesn’t change, doesn’t have a big surprise planned (outside of His arriving like a thief for our souls), still hates sin, and still agrees with the Scriptures He inspired, which have nothing to do with turning His Father’s House into a den of perverts, pagans, and idolaters of every form.
Funny jc57, I reprimand myself everyday for thinking the same thing. I say a Hail Mary and hope she consoles me, boy I detest Jorge too!
Speaking from my own experience, I know what it is like when your in a room/hall confronted with heterodoxy/heresy. I am a high school teacher in Australia and we have had many such guru’s come to try and re-educate us. In the moment it is difficult to react as one is in shock and looks around for some sort of support but finds none. It is usually over the next few days, after partially recovering from the trauma, that one realises what they should have said in reaction to the evil. Being in that situation I often know in my gut that what I’m hearing is rot, but I am at pains to know what to do about it. This may be the case with many bishops. While they are hearing the boss speak they are unable to react and they need time to process, but by then it’s too late, the applause has rung and the cheers have been sung.
One canon forbids non-Catholics taking communion. The other permits it, encourages it, based on the new ecclesiology of VII. Do not muddy the issue. One code is Catholic the other is not. Do not deliberately take a path of trying ‘marry Christ with belial.’

“The Greek Church, embracing all the Eastern Churches involved in the schism of Photius and Michael Caerularius, and the Russian Church can lay no claim to Apostolic succession either direct or indirect, i.e. through Rome, because they are, by their own fact and will, separated from the Roman Communion” (Catholic Encyclopedia [1907], s.v. “Apostolic Succession”)”

Pope IX Holy Office Letter, 16 Sp 1864: The novely of ‘branch churches’ destroys at one stroke the divine constitution of the church.

Canon 1325.2 states, “After the reception of baptism, if anyone, retaining the name Christian, pertinaciously denies or doubts something to be believed from the truth of divine and Catholic faith, [such a one is] a heretic; if he completely turns away from the Christian faith, [such a one is] an apostate; if finally he refuses to be under the Supreme Pontiff or refuses communion with the members of the Church subject to him, he is a schismatic.” The VII Novus Ordo Institution fulfil all of Canon 1325’s criteria. ..heretics, apostates, schismatics = non-Catholics.

“In the 1983 Code, the Superchurch is distinguished against the catholic [small “c” — sic] Church, which is the Superchurch subsisting in an organization on earth. The dead giveaway to the heretical notion of the Church is in Canons 825 and 844, where there is a distinction made of catholic [sic] members of Christ’s. There may be other canons in which this distinction is found, but even one would be enough faithful versus Christ’s faithful (christifideles catholici vs.christifideles, the latter being used most often). Careful reading of this Code reveals very astute wording of the canons in such a fashion that no one could strictly identify Christ’s faithful with the members of the body of the Catholic Church. Rather it becomes very clear that Eastern schismatics and Protestants are considered to be members of “Christ’s faithful” and members of the Church, since they are baptized, and “constituted the people of God.” Notice that no mention is made of impeding the effect of baptism through adhering to heretical or schismatic sects, the public profession of heresy, or by exclusion by competent ecclesiastical authority. Rather, if you are baptized, you are part of the People of God, Christ’s faithful, the Church.Absolute proof that christifideles refers to all who claim the name christian, regardless of sect, can be seen from Canon 923: The christian faithful can participate in the eucharistic Sacrifice and receive holy communion in any Catholic rite, provided the prescription of can. 844 be observed. When one checks out Canon 844, lo and behold! It is the “eucharistic hospitality” canon! It is the canon which makes a distinction between the christifideles catholici and ordinary christifideles, and defines the restrictions (the few which exist) on intercommunion. The conclusion is that christifideles of Canon 923 refers to all “christians” who may participate in the “eucharistic sacrifice” and “holy communion,” as long as they observe the distinctions and restrictions of Canon 844. This conclusion is staggering, for it reveals that the 1983 Code of Canon Law is a veritable constitution for an ecumenical Church, in which carefully worded texts have retained the heretical Vatican II ecclesiology. It is the blueprint for the One World Church.”

Simple logic isn’t it. I was raised by the Baltimore Catechism and the Latin Mass. If that was wrong then the Church is wrong and could be today ( and does not posses the Truth). That is the precise difference between the SSPX and the FSSP. One took a stand the other compromise. My only advice: discard anything done since 1965. There is a beautiful church waiting for us if we look to God who gave joy to my youth.
He speaks in purely HUMANISTIC & Not Catholic Terms.
And much of “Novus Ordo Land”(Attrib. C. Ferrara, Esq), follows along to the Slaughter, without any primary or secondary thought, often falling for the Obfustication & NOT Realizing It, for it has been so totally INGRAINED.
It drives me crazy to keep listening to Catholics after an Ordinary Form Mass, who describe Pope Bergoglio as “Such A Nice Man” & fall for the “Humbleganda.”
He does not live in a Little Cottage. He lives in a Mansion in The Vatican City Compound & Nation.
What Kind of “Nice Man”, DESTROYS a Faithful Religious Order, such as the Franciscan Friars Of The Immaculate?
It shows his Humility as mere “Window Dressing”, & Nothing More.
AND to our brethren in the Eastern Church the first charge of heresy is the biggest sin-word to them: INNOVATION. “Oh. no problem (oh yeah was it Newsweek or EWTN who said what a GREAT lover of the Orthodox is our Berger King!) INNOVATE FREELY!” To the devout Orthodox, Ladies and Gentlemen, these are the words of Satan! “Oh just use you imagination, Pastors, and INNOVATE FREELY!” Are our Bishops interested in their own calling to DEFEND THE FAITH??? How old can a guy get and still resemble the False Prophet of St John’s Revelation? But Louis said the truth, he should fear God. For Jesus Christ Our Blessed Lord has tolerated alot of Apostasy ever since it began in Tubingen U. in 1820, BUT he has NEVER tolerated it for long on Peter’s Chair: that’s a USURPATION of the Keys! A stealing of the Key’s to my Daddy’s Cadillac – by a raving drunk! POPE TRUMP! Disaster looms IMMINENT. But the interesting question for me is, ‘How is it that John Paul the Great and Benedict could be succeeded by such a bottom-feeder?’ Why, O LORD? The homo child sex scandal? Maybe so!! If the Lord were to swoop us up into His arms in the air, us meaning the “Holy Remnant,” wouldn’t what was left resemble the “Great Whore of Babylon?” Revelation says, “MYSTERY – THE WHORE OF BABYLON” or JPII’s often used phrase, the Mysterium Iniquitatus! “Get thee behind Me Satan!” Bishops, we DEMAND YOU TAKE A STAND!!!
