Jonathan Morris, the longtime Fox News contributor, was spat upon by some homo-revelers at the so-called “Gay Pride Parade” in New York a couple of days ago. Thomas Rosica: Persecutor or prophet? Latest Comments John Madison July 1, 2015 This priest is using an attack on the Person of Christ as a Bergoglio mercy moment. True Patience in Suffering The Voice of Christ WHAT are you saying, My child? Think of My suffering and that of the saints, and cease complaining. You have not yet resisted to the shedding of blood. What you suffer is very little compared with the great things they suffered who were so strongly tempted, so severely troubled, so tried and tormented in many ways. Well may you remember, therefore, the very painful woes of others, that you may bear your own little ones the more easily. The better you dispose yourself to suffer, the more wisely you act and the greater is the reward promised you. Thus you will suffer more easily if your mind and habits are diligently trained to it. Do not say: “I cannot bear this from such a man, nor should I suffer things of this kind, for he has done me a great wrong. He has accused me of many things of which I never thought. However, from someone else I will gladly suffer as much as I think I should.” Such a thought is foolish, for it does not consider the virtue of patience or the One Who will reward it, but rather weighs the person and the offense committed. The man who will suffer only as much as seems good to him, who will accept suffering only from those from whom he is pleased to accept it, is not truly patient. For the truly patient man does not consider from whom the suffering comes, whether from a superior, an equal, or an inferior, whether from a good and holy person or from a perverse and unworthy one; but no matter how great an adversity befalls him, no matter how often it comes or from whom it comes, he accepts it gratefully from the hand of God, and counts it a great gain. For with God nothing that is suffered for His sake, no matter how small, can pass without reward. Be prepared for the fight, then, if you wish to gain the victory. Without struggle you cannot obtain the crown of patience, and if you refuse to suffer you are refusing the crown. But if you desire to be crowned, fight bravely and bear up patiently. Without labour there is no rest, and without fighting, no victory. Imitation of Christ Thomas a Kempis Book3 Chapter 19 Log in to Reply salvemur July 2, 2015 EM, suffering patiently for love of Christ cannot be found in this whole sad story. Morris has made it public that he ‘suffered’ a hoik-bomb – not exactly suffering in silence, and not suffering for love of Christ because he takes the Hannity chair and makes it a platform to practice apologetics to the world and his wife for sodomitic celebrants – and worse, he does so daring to wear the uniform of a servant of Christ. (perhaps Rich’ take is right on the money). I really hope you can see that Thomas’ description of the virtue of suffering in patience does not apply to Morris. As well, we have no remit to ‘silently’ watch the suffering of Bride of Christ at the hands of the devil. Log in to Reply Ever mindful July 2, 2015 Dear Salvemur, All good points you raise…I was reflecting on an approach to suffering, and trying to transcribe the wisdom of Thomas a Kempis, who lived during the Black Plague, to the present age, where we are exposed to a spiritual Black Plague … Mindful that our Blessed Lord was spat upon, and held His peace, I have been meditating on 21st century spittle, and how to be Christ-like in response. Log in to Reply Barbara July 2, 2015 But there is a grave error in simply seeing this priest being spat upon. It was the priesthood, and a representative of Christ on earth, not just this pathetic excuse of a man, who was being spat upon. – Fine to go all Francis-humble and take it like a girl, but you don’t ‘take’ stuff thrown at Our Lord! The Imitation of Christ had a context and an audience – the monk, specifically the novice. Therefore the ideal ‘protagonist’ who imitates Christ in Thomas’ book is the young novice who must, if he is going to keep the habit, bear patiently with his consecrated fellows. The quote doesn’t belong anywhere near Morris and his tales. Log in to Reply Barbara July 2, 2015 Yes, and the fact that he blasted the media with his sad tale (oh, but it’s not about me!!) shows where this poor man is in his spiritual life. If these unknown men did spit of him then how can they be “good men” as this person claims, as they were surely spitting on a representative of Christ Himself? He gives way too much credence to the ways of the devil in his explanation as to why he was spat upon. Again, a wolf. Good for Louie for calling this impostor to task. Log in to Reply JamesTheLesser July 1, 2015 Awesome video Louie!! Log in to Reply Alarico July 1, 2015 Let’s consider a brief defence for Fr. Morris’. As a representative of Christ in cloth and office, Fr. Morris was a victim here of an assault. Let’s grant Fr. Morris a point here then as ‘victim’, perhaps even a victim ‘in persona Christi’. In making excuses for the he who spat on him, Fr. Morris was acting as the aggressors advocate. Okay then. As an ‘advocate’, which appellation is given to the Holy Spirit as well as to our Blessed Mother, let’s give Fr. Morris another point here shall we. Then what is the problem here? On the surface, as both victim and advocate, is not Fr. Morris an exemplary Christian? Log in to Reply Johnno July 1, 2015 Because it was not an attack on Fr. Morris. It was an attack on Christ and His Church who Fr. Morris represents. If I walked up by you and spat on your mother, you would not cower like a wimp and kiss my feet and speculate that I’m a good person. Sure Fr. Morris could’ve personally brushed off the ‘injury’ to himself, but he should’ve gone on to point out that the people who did it really have a problem not with him but with Christ and His Church and their souls are therefore in grave danger unless they repent and go to confession (if they are Catholic). Another teaching moment wasted for platitudes towards the devil. An exemplary Christian or Biblical Jew in older times would’ve taken his sword and struck these evil men down. But today we’re such a pampered spineless bunch filled with bunny rabbits and rainbows that any show of force is considered ‘unchristian.’ Nonsense! I don’t expect Fr. Morris to spit back or attack them physically, I do however require him to show courage and instruct these men for the sake of their souls. But cowardly modernists like him don’t care for saving souls, only for saving face according to the disoriented eyes of the society they live in. Log in to Reply Barbara July 2, 2015 Forgiveness is for the repentant. Log in to Reply joanc57 July 8, 2015 thank you. I’d like to make that statement my byline. Log in to Reply Alarico July 2, 2015 This is the problem, Alarico. Our Lady is our advocate before God’s Throne; her prayers fly to heaven for us sinners. It’s apparent Fr. Morris’ words are not directed to God but to the World through the mass media. Insofar as he behaves this way, Fr. Morris is a tool of the mass media and is not acting as a consecrated priest. Therefore, what good or use are his excuses for his aggressor? Nothing. It seems that in perpetuating the theme of the reveller as a victim there is no use in his words except for diabolical ends. According to the progressive point-of-view of the World and modern man, no one is guilty and everyone is a victim, especially the so-called marginalized and the poor. This is the fruit of ignoring, or of not making paramount or central, Jesus Christ as our Saviour and as the one and only true victim especially in the sacrifice of the Mass. It results in everyone being a victim, except for Jesus Christ, when in fact “we all fall short of the glory of God” and are all guilty before Christ as the Lamb of God, the true sacrificial victim for our salvation. In making excuses for the reveller, in characterizing his aggressor as a ‘marginalized’ and ‘poor’ victim, Fr. Morris is playing into the agenda of the World and the Devil, and, again, is not behaving at all, nor in the least, as a consecrated priest of the Holy Catholic Church. Fr. Morris is not so much a wolf but one who is duped. Log in to Reply JEFFKLUMP July 1, 2015 Can someone please explain why Fr. Morris was at a gay pride parade? Morris’ apologetics for a sin that cries out to heaven for vengeance must make satan proud; and his litany of excuses for people attending a parade that celebrates a sin that cries out to heaven for vengeance is an affront those clericals he is wearing. Perhaps mufty should be mandatory for Novus Ordo ‘priests’, given that the majority are, in word and deed, children of the father-of-lies. “…they who do such things [wicked things including homosexuality], are worthy of death; and not only they that do them, but they also that CONSENT to them that do them.” Romans 1:32 — This is plain, clear, not open to Novus Ordo exegetical ‘evolution’. What will it take for people to realise that people committed to the sin of homosexuality punch their cards in satan’s machine, and those who support their committment, as St Paul tells us, are doing the same. For more insight into how the father-of-lies is using homosexual ideology and its ‘useful idiots’ : http://voxcantor.blogspot.co.uk/2015/07/the-precious-blood-of-our-lord-jesus.html – PS. ‘useful idiot’ is a marxist term for the willing propagandist (the brawn) who will do the bidding of the marxist ‘brain’ behind the scenes. Log in to Reply Barbara July 2, 2015 I urge everyone to head over to The Radical Catholic blog and watch a video embedded in a post from June 29. It’s entitled “How to Subvert A Nation: An Insider Explains.” Scroll down to near the end of the post to find the video. The speaker is Yuri Alexandrovich Bezmenov, a Soviet journalist who was trained in subversion. He describes the process of subversion in its various steps. As he moves through the steps you can see the history of the past 60 years unfold. What he describes also fits what has happened in The Church. In a wonderful surprise at the very end he says the only salvation for our countries is THE FAITH. This is a must watch. Log in to Reply Lynda July 2, 2015 Yes, it’s very enlightening. I’ve watched it a few times over the years to remind myself I’m not going mad when most people are ignoring the ever-increasing descent into tyranny. It’s from 1987, I think. By now we’re in the end stage. What’s really terrible is that one can see the same evil infiltration and subversion happened in the Church, even ahead of the secular world (therefore allowing the collapse of the moral order in the world). Log in to Reply salvemur July 3, 2015 Lynda. You might appreciate this — http://www.mostholytrinityseminary.org/Seminary_Newsletter_June_2015.pdf — “Ireland retained the Catholic Faith despite the most terrible persecutions of the English. Although, with some exceptions, their Catholic counterparts in England and Scotland caved into the pressures of protestant persecution, Ireland held out. From about 450 to 2015, a total of 1565 years, Ireland remained a Catholic country. Last month, Ireland voted in a referendum concerning homosexual marriages. Not less than 62% voted in favor of permitting sodomitic marriage. After fifteen centuries of Catholicism, Ireland has plunged into apostasy. There are, no doubt, many in Ireland who deplore this break from the Catholic Faith. The break, however, took place many decades ago by the acceptance of Vatican II and the Novus Ordo religion in general…” Log in to Reply Lynda July 4, 2015 Well, many of the bishops and priests were heretical by the te of the Council but it wasn’t until the 1980s that most Irish people abandoned the Deposit of Faith and the Moral Law. salvemur July 3, 2015 One cannot underestimate the Marxism/Communism as a primary tool to rebel against God. Log in to Reply Lynda July 2, 2015 The priest said he was just walking down the street when he met those people. But in that case, Fr Morris never described what that “purpose” was. Log in to Reply In Hoc Signo Vinces July 2, 2015 “…WONDERFUL, GOOD, PEOPLE.” (??!!) Which side is Fr Morris on? Sodomites are wonderful, GOOD people?? Is that why God annihilated Sodom and Gomorrah because he found plenty of “wonderful, good people” in those cities (even though they wanted to abuse the two angels that been sent to “investigate” what was happening in Sodom – Genesis 19). Log in to Reply Theresa July 2, 2015 I wonder if while Fr Morris was strolling along , he might have noticed the many small children present at this despicable event. One excellent blog featured a photo of a very young boy dressed in drag , with an expression of both anger and fear on his face. The innocent lives of these children , who are truly victims in all this putrifaction seems to be of little or no importance. Listening to this priest I get the clear message that he’s just a tad frightened ( hence the anti inflammatory statement , that they were probably just caught up in the excitement baloney )as I believe most of these men of the church are and well they should be because being spat upon is the very least of what will be coming for them should they cross the line that’s been laid out by the homo agenda….it’s all too obvious and pathetic, they’re terrified of the powers that be. Log in to Reply Barbara July 2, 2015 WOW! So Father Morris is not just some priest, eh? Well, well. I’m getting some clarity having watched Voris’ expose of this sad case. – It’s all about serenity. Listen to bishops and priests, over the past few years, and Francis too – all the talk is about taking everything in a ‘serene’ manner. Yes, Christ was ‘serene’ on the boat during the storm, and, yes, we are commanded by our Lord not to be upset by “wars and rumours of wars”. However, at the Garden of Gethsemane Christ poured out blood and sweat in prayer. He was certainly no longer serene: imagine that! The Second Person in the Holy Trinity was no longer serene, but by his prayers poured out blood and sweat. The difference between Christ serene on the boat and Christ at Gethsemane was this: the battle had not yet begun in the former instant, but on that Holy Thursday, the battle had arrived at His doorstep. What Fr. Morris has missed — as well as the entire post-conciliar Church— seems to be this: that the Pride Parades all over the world is a call to battle by and for the Evil One. And this battle is now on our doorsteps immediately threatening our lives and that of our children. As traditionalists have known all along, not only are lukewarm Catholics the cause of many of the major evils in the world after Christ’s Salvation of the World, but so too is heresy and bad theology.
