The Catholic blogosphere has been buzzing thanks to a post at EWTN Great Britain by Deacon Nick Donnelly, the headline to which says it all:
Pro Pope Francis cardinals want him to resign to avoid schism, reports the Times of London
(NOTE: The post has since been removed from the EWTN website. An archived version is available HERE.)
Both Donnelly and the Times are drawing from a report that was recently published by Italian journalist Antonio Socci:
A large part of the cardinals who voted for him [Bergoglio] is very worried and the curia . . . that organised his election and has accompanied him thus far, without ever disassociating itself from him, is cultivating the idea of a moral suasion to convince him to retire.
It was the latter faction who now believed that the Pope should resign and who would like to replace him with Cardinal Pietro Parolin, the Vatican secretary of state, Mr Socci said. He believed that the group numbered around a dozen, but the importance of the members counts more than their number … The cardinals are worried that the church could be shattered as an institution. There are many indirect ways in which the pressure might be exerted.
Most of the commentary that I’ve read on this story seems to be focused on the idea that, if true, this could signal the beginning of the end for Bergoglio; as if he may have pushed the envelope a bit too far a bit too quickly, causing consternation even among his cardinal-electors and supporters in the Curia out of concern for the Church.
Don’t kid yourself…
The churchmen who pressed for Bergoglio’s election and have supported him thus far have no love for the Mystical Body of Christ. In their eyes, the Church is a human organization with purely temporal aims, and their commitment is to the revolution; not the man chosen to run the day-to-day operations.
The only reason these cardinals may have an interest in seeing to it that the Church is not “shattered as an institution” is because they wish to leverage her influence, her global reach, and her infrastructure as a means of bringing to fruition their vision of a one-world religion.
Now that the Church has been sufficiently infiltrated by Masons and humanists, so much so that even the popes are furthering the cause of religious indifferentism, keeping “the institution” intact is a strategic priority.
If Bergoglio has been deemed less-than-desirable by those cardinals who lobbied on his behalf in the lead up to Conclave 2013, it is for one reason alone; they are convinced that their evil designs will be better served by another.
These cardinals believe that the Pope should resign and they would like to replace him with Cardinal Pietro Parolin.
This has a familiar ring to it, does it not?
– A pope that is considered an obstacle relative to the nefarious aims of the revolutionaries will be pressured to resign by a powerful cabal of high ranking churchmen.
– At one and the same time every effort will be made to ensure that the man of their choice is elected at the conclave to follow.
It’s not unreasonable to believe that this is precisely what transpired in 2013.
This being so, who can be surprised if the same strategy is employed by the enemies of the Church some four years later?
Indeed, it’s not difficult to imagine that this same shameful scenario will repeat itself over and over again; at least until such time as Divine intervention has its say.
Louie, you may have a point here. Do the Cardinals who elected Bergoglio have a much more aggressive Soros puppet waiting in the wings? I doubt that these cardinals have the good of the Catholic Church in mind.
Here’s an interesting perspective from Remnant TV:http://www.remnantnewspaper.com/web/index.php/articles/item/3066-pope-soros-the-novus-ordo-seclorum
They will simply elect another modernist and nothing will change. They will continue to preach the false gospel of ecumenism and religious liberty and they will continue to offer worship displeasing to God. The future of the Church and its restoration will not be found in modernist Rome.
Does this mean we will have 3 Popes, sorry, 1 Pope and 2 Popes “Emeritus”?
You’re right, before Jorge, we had the Catholic Remnant and Novus Ordoism. Now we have the Catholic Remnant, Novus Ordoism and Bergoglioism. The Cardinals want a step back to Novus Ordoism. That still leaves most folks in a pickle.
A very good article, Louie.
I don’t believe for a moment that those cardinals want a return to orthodoxy. More likely, they think that Francis isn’t moving fast enough with the reforms, and they need someone younger and stronger to do the job.
I don’t doubt for a second this is true. Let the snakes devour each other.
They have no reason to fear letting it be known that they did this to Benedict, nor that they will do it again. Nobody can hold them accountable and they fear no public reprisals, so, why not. They “own” the institution, in their minds, they are it’s keepers. They are like the head of a snake, in reality, but they don’t know this. So for them to simply unplug one puppet and put in another, not a problem.
However, Bergolio has an ego, that is clear. He may not go as happily since “It’s FUN to be pope!” and he clearly enjoys the perks and the adulation. The man can’t keep his mouth shut. So I doubt he will be easy to dislodge, and no doubt he has quite a few tricks up his sleeve. Actually, my money’s on him to stay. He’s a tough old Marxist. Those Cardinals may find themselves in Guam or find one morning they can’t locate their red hats.
I would imagine money has something to do with it. Perhaps the fact that Catholics are withholding funds from the offertory, the recent defunding that went on in the US thanks to President Trump not wanting to bring in more Muslim immigrants, and other money matters is the reason. Surely Bergolio is doing enough as far as renovating the Catholic faith! The man’s a zealot, working feverishly to bring his own brand of destruction to our church. They must be happy with that. No, it must be money.
I see it the other way. The Cardinals don’t want to return to orthodoxy, but they don’t want to overplay their hand either. They want someone who will turn up the heat on the stove a little slower. As it is now, the frogs are noticing that it is getting too hot in the pot and could start jumping out causing a rift, with orthodoxy on one side and modernism on the other. As Louie pointed out, it is in their best interest to keep the Church together.
This is the obvious truth:
“The only reason these cardinals may have an interest in seeing to it that the Church is not “shattered as an institution” is because they wish to leverage her influence, her global reach, and her infrastructure as a means of bringing to fruition their vision of a one-world religion.
Now that the Church has been sufficiently infiltrated by Masons and humanists, so much so that even the popes are furthering the cause of religious indifferentism, keeping “the institution” intact is a strategic priority.”
Bingo!!!
I agree with this….it makes perfect sense considering the evilness which we are dealing with. Francis has gotten too stupid too fast (shame on you bergoglio) and his brothers-in-arms are seeing too much kick back from “conservative Catholics”….so now they (the same persons who continue the usurpation of the Chair) likely need to slow down and lull the sheep back into a state of stupor; and then once the sheep are mindlessly grazing again, forge ahead with their continued destruction of the Church. Pope Pius X saw this coming 100 years ago.
Or perhaps the blowback is coming from liberal prelates who do not want to tolerate SSPX chapels in their dioceses. I am sure it a combination of both wings feeling the heat from their confused flocks. The bottom line is that Bergolio is drawing too much attention to the Church and they are petrified their modernist plans will be fully exposed before the sheep have been properly indoctrinated. Remember, the modernist’s loyalty lays with the revolution and is not beholden to any single man.
Could this be Peter the Roman?
It appears their plan is on schedule. Did we not just learn that it was said they believed francis only needed “4 years” to get the job done?
They know 2017 is a pivotal year.
If what this article says it completely true, then Benedict’s resignation is invalid, and he is still pope. This would explain so much with him retaining his title of pope emeritus, keeping his papal white garments, residing inside the Vatican, and “splitting” the papacy into two- half spiritual, half governance. Wow. The implications of all this? Mindboggling.
“Now that the Church has been sufficiently infiltrated by Masons and humanists…” PEDOPHILES, AND POOFTERS. Just a couple of things you forgot Louie.
