Just in case anyone happened to miss it; another important piece to the puzzling case of Jorge Bergoglio emerged a couple of days ago courtesy of Edward Pentin.
In an interview with with the Austrian media outlet, Kathpress, on December 1, Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, Cardinal Gerhard Müller, implied that Francis has ordered him not to respond to the dubium.
In a December 6th article, Church Leaders Respond to the ‘Dubia,’ Pentin quoted Cardinal Raymond Burke as having confirmed that this is indeed the case:
Cardinal Burke told the Register last month that Cardinal Müller earlier had relayed to the signatories that the Pope would not be responding to the questions they had submitted. ‘He [Cardinal Müller] was told by the Pope that he was not to respond to the Dubia and that there would be no response to them,’ he said.
When the dubium was first made public, it seemed rather likely to me that the four cardinal-authors of the text had collaborated with Cardinal Müller beforehand. Now, it appears obvious that they are, in fact, in cahoots (as well they should be).
It’s not clear, however, to what extent the five cardinals may have anticipated, or not, an explicit order from Francis for the Prefect of the CDF to ignore the simple yes/no questions posed in the dubium. It’s difficult to imagine that Francis’ reaction has taken them, or anyone else who is paying attention, by surprise.
That said, think about what we now know.
As I mentioned in my initial post on the Pentin-Burke interview, one may very well imagine that interviewer and interviewee coordinated their efforts in order to make a precise presentation.
We now know that this is true, and what’s more, we know that this coordinated effort continues.
Consider: Cardinal Burke provided the above mentioned quote (about Francis explicitly silencing the CDF) to Edward Pentin on or before November 15, the date on which the interview was published.
Obviously, that information was always newsworthy; in fact, even though we have grown numb to the Humble Dictator’s despicable behavior, it’s no exaggeration to call it a bombshell.
Here we have a pope who has explicitly instructed Cardinal Müller and the CDF, which has the “proper duty of promoting and safeguarding the doctrine on faith and morals in the whole Catholic world,” not to do their job; i.e., Francis deliberately ordered that errors concerning matters of faith and morals be left unaddressed so as to spread unabated.
Yes, this is a bombshell alright; an unprecedented one at that.
So, why didn’t Pentin drop it three weeks ago?
Apparently, it was decided (presumably by Cardinal Burke) that it would be best for Pentin to keep that particular card in his hip pocket until further notice.
In other words, all indications are that Burke is playing Bergoglio’s game of leveraging his contacts in the media in order to control the dissemination of important information; timing its publication in whatever way may best serve the mission at hand. Touché!
We also now have good reason to believe that Edward Pentin may be sitting on any number of other pieces of critically important information that further demonstrates just how fiercely Francis is opposed to the Catholic faith.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Edward Pentin already knows precisely when and how Cardinal Burke and the other three cardinal-authors of the dubia intend to issue the “formal act of correction” (and if it pleases God, Bergoglio’s formal deposition) that we now await.
In my opinion, the time is well at hand, but I suspect that it will not come until after Christmas; perhaps sometime in early January 2017.
Then again, this sad affair may just drag on until May; that’s right, exactly 100 years after the Fatima apparitions began.
Please God it all ends well and soon.
I am still of the firm conviction that Benedict XVI purposely forced this stark separation of sheep and wolf via his shocking decision to resign the papacy in 2013, fully understanding (as Pope St. John Paul II did) that the ‘silent apostasy’ had to be decisively ummasked and fully aware of the yet-to-be-revealed words of Our Lady at Fatima, and of which centennial in 2017 he was and is keenly aware.
Why didnt Benedict and John Paul consecrate Russia?
I don’t really know, Tom A. I’ll ask them when I see them. Peace.
They should issue the formal correction immediately & let PF & friends ‘boil with rage’ over the Christmas Festival. It’s almost three months since the Cardinals wrote the Dubia so no longer time should be given for a Yes or No response. It is imperative they hold the high ground.
All Catholics should tweet @pontifex to sign the Dubia. Sadly I feel there are still too many fence-sitters out there to make a difference. Show some concern for your children & grandchildren who may well lose the faith on account of this man’s wickedness. He is unfit for purpose!
It should happen tomorrow. Every single day the scandal grows worse and souls are in peril. This man is a wrecking ball in the poor church. This is not a matter of a man whose progressives ideas are rubbing people the wrong way, this is a man who is steamrolling his way through the church and causing as much damage as possible before the clock runs out. He seems to know the clock is ticking, he must be getting pressure from his bosses to get things done so that they can never be corrected. His “appointments” may be just the ticket. What on earth would the next conclave elect. (shudder)
Bosco, do we have any any factual basis for attributing such shrewdness to BXVI? Scholarly yes, brilliant even…but cunning? Daring? Hard to imagine. I like the idea, but fear it’s wishful thinking.
Well here is a piece from 19 September 2006 offered by Madeliene Bunting of The Guardian in respect of Benedict’s shrewdness and it is well worth reading:
“‘A man with little sympathy for other faiths’
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2006/sep/19/catholicism.religion
“…On the contrary, he is a determined, shrewd operator whose track record indicates a man who is not remotely afraid of controversy. He has long been famous for his bruising, ruthless condemnation of those he disagrees with. Senior Catholic theologians such as the German Hans Kung are well familiar with the sharpness of his judgments…”
I stand by my opinion, Roberto. I will not sell Benedict XVI short. Only God knows.
Your words are a salve, Bosco. I’ve daydreamed about Benedict being deep in prayer as Pope and receiving supernatural guidance as to what course of action to take. I was as electrified (in a good way) by his ascending to the papacy as I was crestfallen by the ascendancy of Jorge Bergoglio. Ultimately God’s will be done but I too do not want to sell Benedict short.
Oh yeah, deep in prayer with lesbo-lutheran heretics and muslim infidels. Keep dreamin’!

Don’t cling to this chap as some sort of “Catholic” hope. He’s not really one of ours.
You are mistaken, The Papal Subject.
“Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.” Psalm 124:8
Jesus Christ never resorted to chicanery to “smoke out his enemies”.
We’re expected to believe that Benedict XVI played some sort of tactical move by resigning so as to separate the wolves from the sheep? So he lied when he told the world the reason for his resignation?
I don’t buy that he lied for the reasons stated. He did lie when he resigned but he lied for another reason then.
I think you are mistaken about the first part; on the second, you will get no disagreement from me.
Would you go into the temples of funny religions, pray publicly with their members, and still claim to be a Catholic?
What I have to ask myself is: this man (Benedict) who did not want to be pope, who saw how the wolves tried to force his close friend JP out, who asked us to pray that these wolves would not devour him when he was elected, who could not wait to retire after John Paul’s death to his homeland to teach and be near his beloved brother – WHY did he remain where he did not want to be?
When Bergoglio bussed his newly minted cardinals over to Benedict’s residence for his “blessing” recently it was the ultimate in-your-face by a true Judas.
Fr. Gabriel Amorth, the Vatican exorcist who died several months ago said that next to the Blessed Virgin Mary, JPII was most effective against the demons. When he asked them why, the reply was that JP foiled their plan. Lucia of Fatima had said that his 1984 consecration was accepted, even though he did not specifically say the word “Russia”. That was 100 years after the pope who fainted after mass and heard the conversation between God and satan, where God gave him 100 years free reign. Look at all the holy young priests and religious formed in the JPII era. I know there are some who think nothing good can come out of a post Vatican II Church, but God can make good come out of anything or He is not God.
Judas was a believer but he “became” a betrayer.[Luke 6:16]
I love Fr Amorth, but he was unfortunately a promoter of Medjugorge. God founded His Church. Our Lord purchased the Church with His Precious Blood. The Church is to teach all nations His truth. To reject His truth is to be a heretic. Heretics therefore spurn the Precious Blood and are automatically severed from Her.
Benedict and JPII taught and did things completely contrary to the teaching of the Church. They promoted the Novus Ordo Missae. I don;t know how to square all that up.

There was a time I wasn’t aware of the term: “A wolf in Shepherd’s Clothing” , but Louie has brought me to a clear understanding today.
Oh, Holy Mother, we pray for the Triumph of Your Most Immaculate Heart.
I am afraid that the difference in post conciliar Popes is one of degree rather than kind. This series of articles opened my eyes on this subject: http://www.christianorder.com/features/features_2014/features_may14_bonus.html
Fr Amorth did not believe that the Consecration of Russia happened. He said he stood near Pope John Paul II when people urged him not to mention Russia by name. He said the Consecration has yet to be done, and, though it will be late, it will be done and the Immaculate Heart of Mary will triumph.
With respect, forget about Fr.Amorth, forget about Sr.Lucia, forget about the alleged eavesdropping on an alleged conversation between Christ and Satan by a Pope in the late 19th century. Don’t waste time on these things.
The facts remain as they have always remained, as per the Bible.
Does anyone have an extra piece of duct tape for Bergoglio? We all need a break from his incessant nonsensical chatter.
“A Church that reneges on its former teaching, based on Scripture and Tradition, is a Church that no longer holds to the Truth, indeed a Church that has lost sight of its primary vocation to hold to the Truth and to be a witness to it to the world, indeed a Church that has ceased to be the Church.”
These are the words of Fr. Alexander Lucie-Smith in an article posted in the Catholic Herald (UK) on Thursday, Nov. 24, 2016 on “Amoris Laetitia”.
It is interesting to me that it took the writing of this document to open the eyes of many Catholics to the truth that there is, within the body of prelates, those who do not hold to Scriptural or Traditional teachings, in particular, Jorge Bergoglio, aka Francis.
But the uglier truth is this exhortation, this document, is merely an obvious and open attempt to change Church doctrine to reflect the will and thoughts of men but that attempt is certainly not the first. That attempt was made, and has succeeded, in all of the changes, the transformations, in the Church since Vatican II. Yet, those changes are still not recognized by most as transformations of the Truth into lies; the transformation of Truth into the synthesis of heresies, Modernism. And to be more specific, everything-every single thing-the Conciliar does is the work of the most damning of heresies, Ecumenism. False ecumenism which destroyed the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and denied the perennial teaching of the Church that she alone is the path to salvation. These two demonic-influenced heresies are the perpetual infection within the Conciliar Church that spread throughout and continues to eat away at the mind, the heart and the soul. Yes, the Conciliar Church has “lost sight of its primary vocation to hold to the Truth and to be a witness to it to the world, indeed a Church that has ceased to be the Church.”
If you understand that Benedict XVI was one of the wolves in sheep’s clothing then I might agree with your theory. He and JPII made certain that the future of the Church of Modernism extended far beyond them through their election of cardinals to carry on the heresies of Modernism which both of them fully embraced.
Dennis: Log on to the link Cortez provided which proves that the Lucia that said JPII consecrated Russia was a fraud.
Because the bishops refused to do it with him and that was a condition.
That is merely hearsay about Sr Lucia. The full consecration of Russia has never been done since Russia was never mentioned by name.
Here is the link to the interview with Fr Amorth on Fatima, which I referred to above: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vG3Bw3Z_gbM
I dont recall him ever asking them. Did he?
It is time that the Francis critics realize that Benedict 16 and John Paul 2 were part of the problem too and no wise part of the solution. I too was elated in 2005 when Ratzinger was elected and heartbroken when he resigned, but thanks to Francis my eyes were opened to the synthesis if all heresies: modernism. Of which B16 and JP2 are chief architects.
Exactly! BxVI is just as guilty as JP2!
Just one of MANY:
Benedict XVI, Address to ambassador of Spain, May 20, 2006:
“The Church also insists on the inalienable right of individuals to profess their own religious faith without hindrance, both publicly and privately, as well as the right of parents to have their children receive an education that complies with their values and beliefs without explicit or implicit discrimination.” (L’Osservatore Romano, June 7, 2006, p. 4.)
Catholic, huh?
Bosco49: Interesting. It all is coming out now. And not just Francis, but the whole mess in the Church since 1962 is revealed before us.
JPII did try on 25 March 1984, please see my link to Fr Amorth’s eye witness account to this account in my comment further down.
I think that one of the main issues here is simply “how do we view” men like jp2, benedict, and (God-forbid the practicing homosexual) paul. These men, all three of them, perpetrated the anti-Catholic teaching of the protestant v2 religion, which francis carries out in full force in defense of his v2 brothers. If you hold fast to any of these sons of the devil, then you hold fast to the anti-Church. All of these BAD men were of the same cloth….none are different from the other, aside from their presentation of the lies. They all spit on Pope St Pius X and the TRUE Catholic Church (which this great saint was a devout leader of) . Dont “long” for the days of the false trads like jp2 and benedict, but rather long for them to not be considered Catholic any longer and to be declared the anathema that they have always been. The sick JOKE that they are/were Catholic is getting tiresome.
Russia has not been consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. If it were than we would be living in a promised time of peace. (Ie. No war, no abortion, no lunatic Pope, no having our Catholic faith being robbed of us, no all of us so called “expert” Catholics being so confused and running in various directions on simple subjects…it’s like babble.) It is very simple, if you are the Pope and you live after Fatima, you consecrate that Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. You make it clear that it is done, and you also keep talking about it. It is only the greatest event since the Resurrection of Jesus. You don’t hide it or blow it off like it’s no big deal.
As far as hearsay is concerned, we are obviously deaf, dumb and blind. These 2 Lucias are not the same person. Come on….we are so deceived by the devil. We literally can’t even SEE here. Once Our Lady fixes everything, then and only then will things be fine for a while. Until then, expect to keep running the same worn out circles of confusion. We need to humble down now and do the ONLY thing left to do…live The Fatima message! Look it up, and try to do it. I fall WAY short every second, and need more reminding too.
God has not abandoned us. Come on, the sun doing all that was a warning from God to us, Catholics. We are His chosen people! Are we going to do what He so mercifully sent His Mother down to instruct us to? If not us, than who? I know a lot of sweet, holy, novus ordo people living the Fatima message. That’s what we need….obedience. Perhaps these people are completely clueless as to this massive deception, but they are obedient. Our Lady didn’t tell us that we must find the answers to all these twisted, evil riddles. She knew we wouldn’t be able to. So she gave us her mantle of protection, a simple message with instructions especially for us, the simple. What more clarity could we ask for-Fatima. It’s the ONLY answer. The Fatima message is our manna in this desert. We’re talking about the same God as from the Old Testament. We’re talking about His same complaining stupid people whom He loves so much. We need to discipline ourselves.
Agree. If a person can objectively be saved in a false religion or with no religion at all, denying Christ, then what difference does it make how Catholics approach Holy Communion or who may or may not be pope.
Thanks to all for your kind responses. I agree, Cortez. What matters is that we are obedient to God and follow the instructions of Our Lady at Fatima. I have been trying very hard to do exactly that, no matter what. But that old fallen nature in me, I guess, can’t help but be curious about many things. God bless.
Brilliant? I don’t know man. Benedict was steeped in the New Theology. Lots of gobbledygook. Meandering language that has the appearance of being deep and profound…until ya realize it isn’t really saying anything. Brilliant? Meh.
Give me the pre-counciliar popes. They could say more in a paragraph then all the JP2s and B16s could try to say in a hundred pages of mush.
Deposed or reposed. Hopefully sooner than later.
