OK… It looks like we’re good to go for comments.
You will need to register with a user name and valid email address in order to comment. I really appreciate your patience and look forward to seeing this community come back to life.
Many readers here never comment, and that’s fine, but I would urge you to register just the same. If we’ve learned one thing recently, it’s that the enemies of tradition will stop short of nothing to shut the blog down. Registering will give me a way to share news directly with readers no mater what.
BTW – I’ve reported the hacker who created this mess to the appropriate authorities. I have to say that I am surprised how seriously these kinds of things are taken. I really expected it to be dismissed with “That’s too bad.” As it is, he or she may have to answer for their malfeasance.
No system fool proof, but we’re better off now than before. In any case, you know the difference between a troll and someone who just hasn’t yet had their eyes opened to the crisis in the Church. Ignore the former and they’ll usually go away. Be kind to the latter and they will eventually come to rediscover their stolen inheritance.
Lastly, I will have some exciting news to share tomorrow about some of the upgrades recently made to the site.
Thanks again for your patience. All indications are traffic here didn’t drop at all and I appreciate it.
Glad to see you up and running – thanks again for the manuscript on John XXIII. I’ve sent it on to my priest.
Hurrah! This calls for a celebration. In other good news, the excellent French district of the SSPX have published a longish study of the upcoming “canonization” of Jay-Pee Two, explaining their view on the matter and their reasons for denying its legitimacy. It’s here for any Francophone readers: http://laportelatine.org/vatican/sanctions_indults_discussions/30_septembre_2013/un_saint_nouveau_140406.pdf
Speaking of good PDF files, CC Watershed have made the 1954 “know you mass” comic book available – for free! Strongly recommend printing it (in colour) and letting small children use it to help them understand mass, it’s an excellent resource for children to small to use a proper missal but old enough to read or even just look at the pictures, or for explaining the mass to children at home.
Good to see the comments working again
Welcome back! And keep up the good fight! May God bless your work!
What I find somewhat intriguing about the fellow who was wrecking havoc on Louis’ blog is that the person seemed to know a thing or two about tradition… In one of the last “posts” he made, he talked about Quo Primum from Pius V, which obviously you would never have heard about unless you were a traditionalist, or at the very least someone with a strong knowledge of tradition. Was this fellow a disaffected former traditionalist who wanted to hit back against trads?

Not that it matters too much but I wonder. Louis’ blog must not be such a small thing for people to bother to make such stupid efforts.
A huge Deo Gratias!
How would one change their password (I’m seriously doubtling I can remember the system assigned one… Or is it a deal of being a stuck with it”?
No biggie on the latter, but thats cool…..
Glad to heard the team is back and a look forward to learning about the faith as it existed (a few years, I’ve been told) before my reversion recently (and my upbringing in the 1980s in Texas and the People’s Republic of Massachussets (Now back in Central Texas with a FANTASTIC `mission and orthodox priest)! Deo gratias!!!
I guess the Holy Spirit wanted me here after all Louie:+) I just finished sending you the email about the log in problems, giving up on the ping pong with WordPress, when I clicked on an email from WordPress that linked me to where I could change my password. I tried there and lo and behold it accepted me finally. Hope it sticks:+)
Thank you for creating a forum for us…that’s not easy or very cheap from what I understand. But like a good lay shepherd, you saw your sheep needed a safe field to pasture in. God bless you for your kindness and generosity, Louie.
@John: Have you heard back yet on how to change one’s password to something that we’ll be able to remember? I can’t seem to get into my account so I’m at a loss as to how to do that.
Yaay !!
It is super to see you guys again !
Thank you so very much Mr. V. for addressing issues in so timely a fashion.
My dear brethren, I am Linda.
Peace be to you.
Elizabeth and John: try to log in again but don’t use the password given to you. See if there is a small link below the sign in or response you get that talks about changing your password. I had issues registering too b/c I already had a username and email account set up with WordPress which is what Louie’s site uses for registration. Keep on plugging away at whatever it gives you:+) I eventually got an email sent to me with a link to reset my password. Hopefully if you pester it long enough, it will send you one too:+) God bless~
@MMC: Thanks so much. I followed your instructions and it worked. I now have a password that I’ll be able to remember! God bless you.
@Linda,

Interesting how sometimes you get to know who is writing before they even call their own name ; ) “De Mariam Numquam Satis” blew the cover away ; )

dear Edu,
I missed you guys!
dear Edu,
should it be in all caps, as you wrote it? If yes, how do I change it?
Ave’s.
Dear Linda,
–
oops – I got it wrong it’s “Maria” like you wrote not “Mariam”. Latin grammar is so difficult! I’m not sure if you can change the username directly… If you set up a “new” username with caps on the first letters will the blog recognise it as a new name? Not sure… As regards the famous maxim from St Bernard, I’ve never heard it should be typed in any particular way…

God Bless
