On more than one occasion, I’ve stated that canonization in our day is sometimes best understood as the Conciliar Lifetime Achievement Award in Service to the Revolution.
How so?
With the raising to the altars of men like John XXIII and John Paul II, it seems obvious enough – at least to traditionalists (aka Catholics) – that the point is to canonize the Second Vatican Council; further deceiving the masses into accepting its every last word as a gift of the Holy Spirit.
In the case of Paul VI, who at present is among the (allegedly) beatified, the desire to canonize the bastard rite known as the Novus Ordo Missae provides additional impetus for bestowing upon him the honor of sainthood.
While all of this is true, it occurs to me that there is something even more fundamental at play; a diabolical scheme that practically guarantees – barring divine intervention – that the cause of Benedict XVI will proceed very swiftly immediately upon his death.
When this happens, we can well expect the neo-conservatives to lift their collective heads out of the sand just long enough to applaud this as an unmistakable sign that Rome still has the Faith, and perhaps even a love for tradition, in spite of our obvious difficulties.
What they will be missing entirely (something that I hadn’t considered until recently) is that the aforementioned canonizations are first and foremost an attempt to portray as unquestionably holy those popes who had firsthand knowledge of the Third Secret of Fatima and yet dared to ignore Our Lady’s warnings and wishes.
Recall that as the beatification of John Paul II drew near just six years after his death; an event that gave rise to no small number of objections, the official line out of Rome was that he was being so recognized for his holiness; not his pontificate.
This novel attempt to separate “heroic virtue” from the way in which the duties proper to one’s state in life were performed and the fruits that were born thereof was immediately recognized by many as utterly preposterous.
What was perhaps not so apparent was the underlying motive; namely, to place the sanctity of the individuals involved, and in turn their handling of the Fatima message, beyond all scrutiny.
In the cases of John Paul II and Benedict XVI, the effort to remove all doubt as to their soaring holiness is all the more important to the revolutionaries given the degree to which each one was complicit in the events of the year 2000 wherein the Third Secret of Fatima was allegedly revealed to the world in its fullness.
Common sense alone is enough to tell even the most disinterested party that the Holy See’s story simply doesn’t add up; that is, if one is but willing to scrutinize it.
This being the case, something had to be done.
The answer? Canonization, thereby ensuring that many otherwise intelligent people would never even bother to ask the obvious questions that are raised by the Holy See’s account; presuming instead to believe:
Surely a man of impeccable sanctity, a Saint no less, would never ignore Our Lady’s wishes; much less take part in an act of deception the likes of which the proponents of Fatima are alleging!
That, my friends, is the real bottom line purpose of the push to canonize all of the conciliar popes; validating the Council and the Novus Ordo are simply byproducts of that effort; albeit ones that are very important to the revolutionaries in their own right.
Indeed, all roads lead to Fatima.
You got it, Louie! Somewhere in there as my stomach turned with repulsion, you managed to make me smile.
Oh here:
The answer? Canonization, thereby ensuring that many otherwise intelligent people would never even bother to ask the obvious questions that are raised by the Holy See’s account;
Wasn’t like 500 years or something that a Pope was canonized before St. Pius X?
No…nothing fishy going on around here though… Canonize it all! It doesn’t matter. Our Lady will CRUSH the evil serpent in God’s time. Waiting and praying here for the Holy Prelate that Our Lady of Good Success has promised will lead the The Church in her complete restoration! Yahoo!
Brilliant observation, Mr Verrecchio! I also believe that the hard copy of the Fatima Secret has been destroyed. Whoever reveals the Secret will have to have unquestionable credibility with the V2 folks.
I can’t get past the thought that a pope would be canonized a Saint-(meaning enjoying the eternal reward of the beautific vision) by the church even though he died knowing full well he disobeyed the mother of God by not fulfilling Her request at Fatima. How is it possible for a Pope to be canonized a Saint for being disobedient to the Mother of God? I’ll tell you how it’s possible because the diabolical one has complete control over the human element of the post conciliar popes and using it to completely suppress the divine element of the church. Is there any sanity left in the vatican? Nope to much metastasized disease of Vatican II. Then again “who am I to judge.” Thanks Louie for your post. Couldn’t agree with you more.
To finish my thought, Our Lady stated on May 13, 1917, that she would return to Fatima yet a seventh time. Is Our Lady going to reveal the Secret herself? If yes, it an extremely sad commentary on the Papacy since Pius XI.
I’m very glad to see this long-term disobedience being highlighted here by you, Mr. V. It contrasts so starkly with Our Lord’s full cooperation with Our Lady’s concerns in Cana, with her expecting Him to act despite His responding that His “time had not yet come”.
Placating Communism and false religions all these years, led to putting Our Lady aside. Russia’s consecration will show the world what an error that was, and what happens when Catholic Bishops act in union with the Pope as they should,
honoring Our Blessed Mother as she is honored in Heaven by The Blessed Trinity–as God’s trustworthy messenger as well as our Advocate, Mother and Queen.
It will also prove that Sister Lucia’s words in 1929 were not distorted or embellished or imagined, as so called “experts” have claimed to many popes; and show the uselessness of 60 years of false-ecumenism versus one great moment of obedience, to the real Holy Spirit.
You’re right on target with this, Mr. V.
Our Lord has made Fatima’s events one part of a giant fork in the road which leads us through Our Lady to Him. The other branch leads to all these anti-Christian deceptions and errors- leaving souls comfortably in sin on the way to Hell. We must all continue to pray daily to bring about the promised triumph of her Immaculate Heart.
Archbishop Lefebvre:
“Thus we find ourselves in front of an ecclesiastical world fully incoherent, illogical, searching for compromises between truth and error, between good and evil, between light and darkness, God and Belial.
This shaking of faith truly seems to prepare for the coming of the Antichrist according to the predictions of St. Paul in his letter to the Thessalonians and the commentaries of the Fathers of the Church.
When Our Lord describes the end of times and after Him the Apostles in their letters, they speak to those who shall remain faithful saying: vigilate, vigilate – watch and be ready! “Thus Brothers, St. Paul says, stand fast; and hold the traditions which you have learned.”(II Thess II 14)
“But the day of the Lord shall come as a thief, St. Peter says in his 2nd Epistle, in which the heavens shall pass with great violence… and the earth shall be burnt up (…) Wherefore, dearly beloved, waiting for these things, be diligent that you may be found before Him unspotted and blameless in peace.” (II Pet III 10-14).
May our prayers and fasts be for us a source of sanctification and a supplication for the return of the shepherds to the truth of the Traditional Magisterium of the Church, for the honor our Lord, for His universal reign and for the reign of Mary, His Holy Mother.”
I refer to the verse you quoted as Vatican II Thess. II.
Interesting idea – I’d always assumed her return a 7th time would be after the Consecration at her Triumph. It never occurred to me that she might be active in bringing it about.
“….that canonization in our day is sometimes best understood as the Conciliar Lifetime Achievement Award in Service to the Revolution…..”
LV, you are a word merchant of the highest order. Had to LOL
Aka “CLAAS” for the Comrades of the Revolution (COR).
The “CLAAS” acronym is distorted just like the Council and all of it’s putrid fruits.
That is an ultra creepy picture of JPII. Looks like something that might hang in every good Universalist home. Right between Buddha and Shiva. He needs a string of marigolds around his neck. When I ponder his act of kissing the Qur’an I feel intense revulsion.
Exactly!
It is ALL about Fatima cover-up.
1960!
Our Mother Wanted us to know when?
In 1960!
Why?
Because, as Lucia said, “everything would be clearer then.”
What happened in 1962? Vatican 2!
What?! And Our Queen did not know about Vatican 2?!
She did not mention ANYTHING about Vatican 2 to the three little shepherds?!
Really?!
Not possible!
Fatima cover up. You got it, Louie.
_____________
“Father, how much time is there before 1960 arrives? It will be very sad for everyone … I am not able to give any other details because it is still a secret. According to the will of the Most Holy Virgin, only the Holy Father and the Bishop of Fatima are permitted to know the secret, but they have chosen to not know it so that they would not be influenced. Thus the third part of the message of Our Lady will remain secret until 1960.”
————– Sister Lucia in an interview with Fr. Fuentes on December 26, 1956
I still remember going to Yankee stadium for his mass back when I was 9 years old (1979) and thinking how great he was….and I continued to feel this way for decades (I had a jp 2 bumber sticker on my suburban for a LONG time). If only I knew back in my 20’s and 30’s what I now know.
Thnaks, Servant of Our Lady, for that quote. Let’s not forget also that Our Lady of Good Success came specifically for the end of the 20th century way back in the 1600s! She remained hidden under this title as she said she would only to be known to the general public as she promised she would during these ominous times. It doesn’t take a master mind or even 20/20 vision to know what she was talking about. There’s no puzzle here. This is Our God who sent His only Mother here to speak to us who can hear and see. Now what will we do? The choice is to live and preach the Fatima message, or not to. I think we who hear and see will be held accountable to do so. Details, details – all the rest are ugly details meant to steer us away from our mission. It’s like continuing to stare into a maggot, filled, gaping, stinky wound. Stay focused. Joyful, Sorrowful, Glorious, Joyful, Sorrowful, Glorious, Joyful, Sorrowful, Glorious! Oh how Glorious will be her victory!
This is a question for anyone who knows the answer:
Did JP2’s encyclical on the Rosary mention the Fatima Prayer?
Also, I was given a gift of a rosary purchased in Rome which has two images of JP2 (plus his ugly cross) and no image of Our Lady. I thought the Rosary was Our Lady’s Rosary not JP2’s rosary. I will NEVER use this rosary!!! Nor will I ever recite the Luminous Mysteries.
Correction–The other image is B16.
Not sure, my2cents. But Our Lady told us too, as I am sure you already know. Details, details. As far as I know – Our Lady personally gave us all we need to know thus far regarding the rosary. The Luminous Mysteries were not given directly by Our Lady of the Rosary. I think perhaps she would have added them if she had wished to when she came to Fatima. She chose only to add that simple prayer. The Luminous Mysteries which in themselves are nice to contemplate seem to add more and serve to complicate people who have yet to master what has already been requested and the natural rhythym of the Rosary, which was ALREADY a simple directive of Our Lady, which so many have yet to master. I think I’ll wait until she tells us otherwise.
Why would ANYONE dare to adjust a prayer which has been personally designed by Our Lady? hmm?
Bingo! Now that the entire letter has been “revealed” there should be no reason to hide that hard hand written copy. In fact, by now it should be in a reliquary in Fatima high over the altar to be venerated as a message from heaven. Since it is not, so skepticism begins about that original letter. The Church has a right to know what Mary wanted to warn us about exactly. Come what may, it is our heritage and the hierarchy’s responsibility.
“19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven. Whatever you bind on the earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” That statement puts many in a quandary. I do believe that whatever the elite in the Church do, the Church will survive by this promise.
Francis is sometimes referred to as an egomanic (rightly). I think JP2 was also an egomanic, perhaps more subtly. He wanted Our Lady’s rosary to be “his” rosary. Maybe I’m being too harsh.
Some random thoughts: We are told that we may never judge the ‘internal forum’. Yet, that is EXACTLY what happened in the case of Wotilja’s con-inization. The dicastery for the saints said it was not judging him on his external acts, but on the ‘internal forum’. What evidence was there for his holiness’s holiness? Because he put his head down while kneeling? Or said he loved the Blessed Mother? Any pontiff who TRULY loved the Blessed Mother would have never been seen with half-naked women, or Bob Dylan, or kissing the Koran. Hypocrites, all, where’re you may be; in Boston or Rome or Kankakee; you ne’er shall have a good word from me.
