  8. Im not sure what this guy is trying to say, other than that, like his buddy mr bergolio, he is making excuses for mortally sinful behavior. You and I, and everyone who frequents this blog, is more than capable of knowing right from wrong….but according to akin and bergoglio, most in this world are mentally retarded and therefore not culpable of any wrongdoing. I would say that anyone who references the modernist CCC, like shakin akin does, is already lost. That “catechism”, like anything else produced since vatican 2, should be disregarded.

  9. I don’t have the time, patience or desire to read this lengthy document. Does any one know if the words “sin”, “repentance”, “confession” or “absolution” are mentioned? If not, discussing “irregular” situations which are contrary to Catholic teaching is nothing more than babble.

If I ever thought for a second that he was Catholic Id be ashamed to admit that I adhered to the same Faith as he did.

  12. He is your pope and he is making an official, word-wide, exhortation to all Catholics on the matter of morals. If he is your pope then this most definitely has to pertain to you. When in the history of the Church did popes say things addressed to all the Catholics of the world pertaining to the Faith, or to morals, that were allowed to be tossed in the trash if you didnt agree with them? Im nowhere near the smartest guy who posts here but I really dont know of any time that this sort of thing has ever taken place. Whats the purpose anymore of a pope when nothing he says, regarding faith and morals, is binding to all the faithful?

    On the other hand thanks, though, for taking such a deep interest in “my” Pope as you do, as I suffer through this chastisement of the past 50 years or so along with this God given punishment of a Pope.  I know I deserve it. You, on the other hand, are Scott free somewhere-who knows. Amazing how you keep abreast and interest, though,  in such a man with whom you don’t even associate yourself.   15. The FSSP (the latin speaking branch of the vatican 2 false religion) did irreparable damage to my family about four years ago. I suffer a great deal, as does my entire family, every day thanks to the false religion founded in 1965. If I wasnt suffering with you I wouldnt be posting here.

ABS rationalises his opposition to Our Pope and Our Cross with reference to Aquinas who averred that an unjust law was no law at all and so ABS considers AL to be nominally a part of the Magisterium insofar as the parts in it are orthodox and in authentic continuity with Tradition but when it comes to the approval of dispensing Communion to adulterers and/or sodomites, then those parts are not only unjust, they are positive commands to sin, and so ABS treats those parts as not being a part of a Catholic Magisterium and, thus not binding.

    Papal positivism is not part of Catholic Tradition and so we are not bound by the surprises of Bergoglio in this matter anymore than the President of MIT could bind his students to the evil novelty that 2 + 2 = 5.

  25. As scandalous and disastrous as this may be, it certainly should surprise no one. After all, one can not expect anything Catholic to come from a man who is not Catholic.
    Bergoglio is simply contributing his part to the edification of this False New Church, just like all the post-conciliar bishops of Rome have done. Furthermore – which heresy is more detrimental to the salvation of souls (at least when we consider numbers): that one need not be a Catholic (or even believe in Christ) to be saved – as Wojtyla, Ratzinger, and Bergoglio have taught over and over again, directly denying the most well known dogma of the Faith (extra ecclesiam nulla salus), or that adulterers can go to Communion?

  26. There is ABSOLUTELY no way the post-conciliar “church” believes in the Real Presence of Our Lord in the Holy Eucharist….even though they won’t admit it. (ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS!). Therefore, anyone could receive Communion—-it’s only bread and wine. What’s the big deal!! It is this loss of faith that is key to the destruction of the Catholic faith. Thank God for Tradition and aka Catholics! The exhortation should be renamed “The Joy of Love and the Pain of Sin”.

  27. Mr. Akin seems like a genuinely likable an intelligent man but there are far better sources of Catholic commentary – Mr. V. for instance.

    Voice of the Family also has been astute and very aware of the semiotics of the entire exhortation and it points out crucial changes and language that continues to lead us down the path of perdition.
