Louie,
Great advice for Catholics and for anyone who SHOULD be Catholic—-which is everyone on the face of the earth!
Question for Louie,
Is there any way you could offer this 10 Secrets to Happiness as a print suitable for framing or as a plaque. I’d love to hang this in our kitchen!!!????
MORE SECRETS TO SHARE more wolves to expose…
In the prior blog, salvemur strongly emphasized the importance of the need to find the true faith and stick with it-no matter what. To do that, it is helpful to know which mysterious “sages” to avoid. Some require a simplifying touch.
___
One such is Teilhard de Chardin, whose mimicry of true Catholicism attempts to remake it into “evolutionary pantheism”, (i.e we evolve into the cosmic God)
which has appealed to many a teacher, and even modern Popes.
He once wrote to a friend:
___
” As you know, what dominates my interest and inner preoccupation is the effort to establish in myself, and to spread around, a new religion- call it a better Christianity, in which the personal God ceases to be the great monolithic proprietor of former times, in order to become the soul of the world.”
___
Maritain says, that he promotes a movement of man towards God, omitting the mystery of the Cross, the Redeeming Blood, and Grace. Cosmos is higher than soul; work higher than moral values; action higher than contemplation, contrition and penance. (sounds a lot like “just do good”..no need to covert….)
___
In Teilhard’s words we faithful Catholics can easily see the causes for changes in the Mass and why his followers place excessive emphasis on social work, elimination of poverty; job creation and ecology:
___
Teilhard says: “To adore once meant to prefer God to things by sacrificing them to Him. Adoring today becomes ..associating with the creator in order to give the finishing touch to the world through work and research.”
___
de Chardin uses traditional symbols of Christ which confuse the unwary:
___
“Towards the summit veiled to human eyes, where we carry the crucifix (so far, so good) we raise ourselves up by the way of universal progress,– the royal way of the cross–the route of human effort, supernaturally ordered and extended” (buzz words: universal progress/ human effort )
___
What an echo of those words we hear in the opening of Vatican II by Pope John XXIII when he made this now famous false prophecy:
“in the present order of things, Divine Providence is leading us to a new order of human relations which, by men’s own efforts and even beyond their very expectations, are directed toward the fulfilment of God’s superior and inscrutable designs. And everything, even human differences, leads to the greater good of the Church.”
__
In 1934, “Teilhard revealed his true feelings writing:”
“If, in consequence of some inner revolution I were to lose my faith in..a personal God,..it seems to me I would continue to have faith in the world.
The value and infallibility of the world is definitely the first and only thing in which I believe” .
____
In contrast, Cardinal Newman wrote in “Discourses…”
“Saintly purity, saintly poverty, renouncement of the world, the flavor of heaven, the protection of angels, the smile of the Blessed Mary, the gifts of Grace, the interposition of miracles, the intercommunion of merits, these are the high and precious things..to be looked up to..to be reverently spoken of.
(an involuntary sigh of relief engulfs us when we read words like those)
____
(We see in these last two, the same dramatic contrast between deChardin and Cardinal Newman, as the one between the Pope’s Top 10 List, and Louie’s. )
=======
Before Vatican II, the works of Teilhard de Chardin that promoted evolution and opposed original sin were forbidden by the Superior of the Jesuits (1925); Rome also forbade him to write or teach on philosophical subjects; his works were banned from Catholic libraries and prevented from being translated to other languages (1957). . In 1962, the Holy Office still issued a strong condemnation of him
____
NOW FOR THE BAD NEWS WHICH, UNFORTUNATELY, EXPLAINS A LOT: according to Tradition in Action:
-Teilhard’s books and papers were nonetheless circulated privately among the progressivist theologians and scholars.
___
– his influence was noticeable during VII. (Card. Ratzinger, sustains that the pastoral Constitution Gaudium et spes was largely influenced by the opinions of Teilhard de Chardin. )
___
– In the wake of Vatican II, Chardin’s evolutionary theories began to be openly taught and defended, even though that condemnation was never officially lifted.
____
-then In 1981 A letter was sent on behalf of John Paul II, to the Rector of the Institut Catholique de Paris praising Fr. Teilhard de Chardin.
(This letter became famous as his “rehabilitation”. )
____
– One year later, in his work, The Principles of Catholic Theology, Card. Joseph Ratzinger also praised Teilhard for “including the historical movement of Christianity within the cosmic process of evolution.”
___
-in 2009 by Pope Benedict XVI, held up Chardin as a model priest, stating, “It’s the great vision that later Teilhard de Chardin also had: At the end we will have a true cosmic liturgy, where the cosmos becomes a living host
___
… Let us pray to the Lord that he help us be priests in this sense … to help in the transformation of the world in adoration of God, beginning with ourselves.”

How true the old saying is: “The thought is father to the deed”.
Apologies for the length of that post. We were caught up in what it shows, and added it before realizing how long it was.
Dear Indignus,
–
I’m glad to see the work of Teilhard de Chardin being exposed here. He is the Catholic proponent of the universalist cult of ‘spiritual evolution’. Other major proponents of the very same cult include Archibald Ghose a.k.a. Sri Aurobindo (Hinduism), Hazrat Inayat Khan (Islam/Sufism), Rudolph Steiner (Protestantism), and the spiritual mother of them all, Helena Petrovna Blavatsky (Occultism/Esotericism). It is positively frightening to see his work spoken of so highly by leading prelates of the Church.
–
I’m probably beating a dead horse here, but this goes back to what I was saying about the failure of the Catholic world to react correctly to the advance of evolutionary thinking. These people became wildly popular because they claimed to hold the key which would explain how ancient revelation and modern scientific discovery were in perfect harmony with one another. In her early writings, Blavatsky was not afraid to admit that this “secret knowledge” was Luciferian in origin. They were consciously laying the foundation for the world religion they hoped to usher in before the turn of the millennium. And they led millions of souls to perdition.
–
It’s hard to overestimate how important this movement was and continues to be in its connection to world events.

dear Mr. V.,

Just one of the effects can be observed in the following video.
–
It’s of little consequence as to whether or not they will actually realize this goal. The more troubling thing is that they want to. Technology and scientific advance is being presented – in a visually compelling, easy to understand and entirely uncritical, morally sanitized fashion – as the panacea which will satisfy all of man’s physical and spiritual needs in the Brave New World Order. This is the fruit of rejecting Genesis and accepting evolutionary theory as scientific fact.
To demonstrate how deeply ingrained evolutionary thought is in the Catholic mind, please see the following image, drawn by Catholic cartoonist Jeff B. Harris.
–
Don’t get me wrong; I usually enjoy Harris’ comics quite a bit. But the above is a perfect example of the level of acceptance evolution has attained among Catholics. And please note the quote at the bottom from Pope Benedict:
–
“The Resurrection is akin to a radical evolutionary leap in which a new dimension of life emerges.”
–
This is straight out of Teilhard de Chardin. By participating in the Eucharist, we are preparing our bodies for the “radical evolutionary leap” which Our Lord initiated and which will reach fruition in the “Second Coming”, i.e. the evolutionary emergence of the “New Man” who will establish the “Kingdom of God” on earth, a world free of death, suffering and all physical and moral limitations.
Dear Matthew,
We get it now,, thanks to YOUR teaching efforts–you were WAY ahead of your time on this, weren’t you? . But your insights are probably not popular topics to many people because of these connections to evolution, which entails subject matter that is non-sense-ridden by definition due to its diabolical origins.

Satan has to be laughing as he draws so many scholars and their followers towards hell and they in turn think they are about to save the universe–including any “aliens”, from its unenlightened beliefs of the past. The sweet. smell of victory is in the air, with Francis and the Synod going full speed ahead, and Benedict waiting like Moses, on the other side of the Jordon (Vatican), praying they reach the promised land?.
___
It’s a good bet the DD Our Lady warned about, took over around 1960, as she said–“by then it would be evident” .— when the ‘”behind-the-scenes” studies of deChardin were in full swing–against the orders of the Church authorities. Interesting—. Disobedience–the original sin.
___
They could be as cult-duped about it all as the Kool-Aid drinking followers of Jim Jones–and THAT would explain a lot.. So how many of them can we help before it’s too late for them?

Apparently older deprogramming methods are now frowned upon: i.e kidnapping and confinement while brainwashing with truth. (darn).
___
Current methods involve what is called “exit counselling” best when done by former members to help free people from “uncritically accepted ” ideas. .
Sounds right. So, all we need to do is turn Diabolical Disorientation into ashes with it’s opposite: Heavenly Re-orientation:– turning them back around to face God. .(just like at the Altar?)
Once more, back to Fatima as the only solution. Ave Maria.
Dear Indignus,
–
“Unpopular” is an understatement. I usually get slapped with the “fundamentalist” tag pretty quickly. “Only Protestants think that way” is something I hear on a regular basis from well-educated, well-meaning Catholics. People complain about the “smoke of Satan” having entered the sanctuary in the form of suspect liturgical changes, meanwhile the field of biblical exegesis is a raging inferno, and the last popes to try and do anything about it were Pius IX, Leo XIII and St. Pius X. (See my post in the forum “On the Interpretation of Sacred Scripture” for the history here; supplement this with my recent notes on the caving of Pius XI and Pius XII on the value of modern science.) The thing I can’t seem to get across to Catholics is this: How can you effectively preach the Good News of Jesus Christ is you don’t first preach the Bad News of the Fall and Original Sin? This is, in my opinion, the real reason why people are leaving the Church in droves: the Devil has succeeded in making Christ’s Most Holy Sacrifice seem entirely superfluous. All that’s left is the Church of Social Justice, which plays right into the nightmare that is Masonic Transhumanism.
The Copernican theory didn’t help any either.
It’s the fruits we need to look at, and the fact that this new “serene theology” of sacrilegious reception of the Eucharist is on their agenda for discussion in October brings to mind the angel flying over calling , Babylon is fallen.
,
.
Ratzinger, of course, was & is a huge fan of that “cosmic theologian” (von Hildebrand’s moniker) de Chardin. Becoming familiar with such things is what opens ones eyes to the falsehood of the notion that Benedict XVI was “Traditional” – really, he just wanted a Big Tent.
Speaking of de Chardin, the short work “A Critical Examination of The Theology of Karl Rahner” also gives an excellent synopsis of the groundbreaking evil of the Cosmic Theologian. (It also cover Rahner pretty well too, of course.)
Dear A Catholic Thinker,
What’s your opinion–is a majority of the hierarchy modernist, and how do you think they intend to apply this evolution of spirituality regarding formal teachings?
Dear de Maria,
Not that we’re eager to see it, but can you tell us where you got the info about the Pope on TV? We checked the Vatican’s August schedule and it says he’s resting all month, only doing the Angelus from the balcony.
I think de Maria might have been thinking of the live radio broadcast, during which the Pope will participate in an unscripted interview, which is scheduled for August 8. Even when he uses a prepared script, he takes detours into theological and pastoral minefields. With no script at hand, who knows what he will unleash upon us.
For anyone who might not know, a resource of interest for restoring the Catholic doctrines on Origins/Creation is the Kolbe Center for Creation website.
Also, a movie coming out in theaters this October addresses “The demise of the Copernican Principle.” The title of the movie is The Principle. A website with trailer is at theprinciplemovie[dot]com.

A few “telling” highlights from the above link regarding Cardinals CAMARA and SUENENS– Pope Francis’ “ROLE MODELS” for Charismatic Catholics:
========
SUENENS –(Cardinal) advocate of a “theological pluralism” described the Second Vatican Council as “French Revolution in the Church.” In 1982, Cardinal Suenens said at an episcopal consecration of a new bishop: “Be an apostle like Gandhi, HELDER CAMARA and Mohammed!”
=================
HELDER CAMARA–(Cardinal)
“I do not believe in a jealous God, who is afraid of his own shadow, afraid of the power he has granted his co-creator. I think that man is creating artificial life that he will succeed in the resurrection of the dead and he will realize the old dream of Voronoff “.
___
[Serge Abrahamovitch Voronoff was a French surgeon who gained fame for his technique of grafting monkey tissue on to the testicles of men for purportedly therapeutic purposes-in France 1920s and 1930s. .. he went from being highly respected to a subject of ridicule. In 1999, some speculated that the AIDS virus discovered in the 1980s entered the human population through Voronoff’s transfer of monkey parts into humans]
___
Camara wrote a satirical poem against the Catholic teaching on women as “victims” ..because they are “forced” to bring children into the world. The mockery … ends with an invocation of the Blessed Mother to pray to God the Father, “not to participate in the birth of monsters.”
___
Against the wishes of his bishop, Camara became the General Secretary of the Fascist Party of Brazil. He also formed, Opus Angeli – a think tank of modernism, attracting…Hans Küng, ..Giuseppe Dossetti, Bernard Haring, Ivan Illich,…figures of the so-called “democratic Catholicis.. Ideas they developed: collegiality, Bishops’ Curial Reform, election of the pope by the Synod of Bishops, ecumenism, women Deacons, women priests, the abolition of priestly celibacy.”
=====
If these are Pope Francis’ ideas of ROLE MODELS for anyone, it’s no wonder he is being seen as the fulfillment of the final prophecy of St. Francis of Assisi
which ended with the words:..
..” life will be held in derision even by those who outwardly profess it, for in those days Jesus Christ will send them not a true pastor, but a destroyer”

fFROM THE LINK IN #11 ABOVE -We hope you all agree this NEEDS to be seen: IT’S A CATHOLIC CALL FOR A CRUSADE :
CHALDEAN PATRIARCHATE’S APPEAL FOR URGENT HELP S.O.S.
The Isis militants attacked with mortars most of the villages of the plain of Nineveh, during the night of 6-7th August and now they are controlling the area. The Christians, about 100,000, horrified and panicked fled their villages and houses with nothing but the clothes on their backs. An exodus, a real “via crucis” Christians are walking on foot in Iraq’s searing summer heat towards the Kurdish cities of Erbil, Duhok and Soulaymiyia; the sick, the elderly and pregnant women among them. They are facing a human catastrophe and risk a real genocide. They need water, food, shelter…
____
Regarding the Churches and Church properties in the villages now being occupied by the Isis militants, we have reports of destruction and desecration. The old manuscripts and documents (1500) are being burnt.
___
As evident to all, the Central Government is incapable of enforcing law and order in this part of the country. There are also doubts about the capacity of the Kurdistan region alone to defend the fierce advance of the jihadists. Clearly there is a lack of cooperation between the Central Government and the Regional Autonomous Government. This “vacuum” is profited by the Isis to impose their rule and terror. There is a need of international support and a professional, well-equipped army. The situation is going from bad to worse.

Update: 11:30 a.m. GMT:] As a response to the catastrophe, the Holy See Press Office made a declaration on how the Pope is extremely concerned with Iraqi Christians, rehashing what was said at the Angelus of almost three weeks ago after Mosul Christians were expelled.
____
FROM THE SAME WEBSITE
We regret to say, but a Holy See spokesman declaration is not enough at this extremely urgent moment! The Christian, Catholic, 2000-year-old presence in Iraq is being wiped out as we speak. Since all the media seems to agree that Pope Francis is the most popular figure in the world today, then only he can make the dramatic gestures that the moment demands. It’s a time for public weeping, and crying out loud in the middle of Saint Peter’s Square for all the world to see, if necessary. It’s time to denounce by name the powerful of this world who have abandoned the Christians of Iraq and Syria. It’s time to show that we are desperate because they, our brothers and sisters, are desperate. What’s the point of popularity if it is not put to urgent use in moments of emergency?
Dear deMaria,
Thanks, and no problem. This gives it the attention it deserves/needs :-}

Dear Christopher,
–
I also thank you for this information. I only learned of Cardinal Suenens recently. After a little searching, I found the document by Suenens to which Pope Francis refers. It’s proper title is “Ecumenism and Charismatic Renewal: Theological and Pastoral Orientations”. It can be found at the following link:
–
Cardinal Suenens’ work lays to rest the notion of a “Hermeneutic of Continuity”; it’s perfectly clear that he intended to subvert Catholic doctrine. I direct you to Section I.B.3 (pg.16), where he writes:
–
“Before Vatican II, Catholic theologians commonly identified “Church of Jesus Christ, Mystical Body of Christ” with “Roman Catholic Church”. This identification was frequently presented as absolute, exclusive. This was a doctrinal hardening which had arisen in the fight against those who made a false distinction between the juridical Church and the Church of Charity, the Church-institution and the Church of spiritual freedom.
“From Vatican II onward, under the influence of the ecumenical movement and thanks to a more sensitive understanding of the mystery of the Church, the Catholic position can be summed up in this passage from Lumen Gentium (§8.):
“‘This Church (of Jesus Christ), constituted and organized in the world as a society, SUBSISTS IN the Catholic Church, which is governed by the successor of Peter any by the bishops in union with that successor.’ (emphasis added)
“The introduction of the words “subsists in” can greatly enlighten other Christians on the ecclesiology of Catholics. If the Council Fathers did not accept the formula which had been proposed to them – namely, “the Mystical Body is the Catholic Church” – it was because they believed that this unqualified identification did not wholly express the mystery of the Church.
–
There we have it. Even though Pope Benedict tried to persuade us that “subsists in” means nothing other than “is”, here we have Cardinal Suenens claiming the opposite. This wouldn’t be so alarming if it weren’t for the fact that Pope Francis is now openly endorsing Suenens work, and proposing it as “a guideline, a safe way, so as not to go astray”.
–
The days of even pretending to adhere to a “Hermeneutic of Continuity” are over.
Dear Catholic Thinker,
–
I agree. As a German-speaker, I was quite interested when Benedict was elected. Finally, I would be able to read the words of a reigning pope as he wrote them, unfiltered through Latin or English translations. I acquired a copy of his ‘Introduction to Christianity’, written long before his papacy – and was shocked. This was supposed to be an orthodox theologian? While he might have had a fancy for certain external traditions, he was as much a modernist as Rahner, Congar or Schillebeeckx. He just took more care with giving his heterodoxy the appearance of orthodoxy. That’s not to say that he was consciously subverting doctrine. It’s very possible that he really believed he was working in the best interests of the Church. But he, like all of his generation, was thoroughly infected with the notion that we “modern people” are in an infinitely better position than the Church Fathers to correctly understand the words of Our Lord and the mission of His Church. Incidentally, that’s the deeper reason for the liturgical reform – which Benedict supported: they wanted to push the “restart” button on the Church, eliminating 2000 years of history, jettisoning scholastic philosophy and legitimate liturgical development as a “false start”. Presenting the Protestants with something in which they could participate was actually an afterthought.
Dear Matthew,
We remember as young adults, attending a Catholic Charismatic conference -not knowing anything about its dangers- and hearing a talk by him. It sounded really nice and inspiring. And that’s the real danger to souls from these guys.
___
All their radical, anti-Catholic ideas are hidden away, while they gather admirers who find themselves charmed and inspired to be better people, and so they think these must be good shepherds, and see how widely acclaimed they are–even by the Pope. That’s why this type of exposure is so necessary, so the growing number of sheep who are aware of all this, can be better informed to spread the word. There are said to be at least 100,000 charismatic Catholics (who all need this kind of information).
p.s. to A Catholic Thinker.
We already picked up on one of his distinctive contributions to the mess:
“Rahner not only invented a new theology, he invented a new language to describe it! It became, in effect, a “coded” language, understandable only to initiates”
___
While that may be true, it seems to us they each have their own distinct mumbo jumbo, and only seem to share here and there–which makes it even worse when they alter a borrowed meaning. This is why critical analyses are so treasured by us. Thanks for the info.
Amen. Reparation, reparation, reparation!
Spot on, Matthew.
—–
While I think Benedict somehow has a better core understanding of the Faith someplace in his soul than the out & out modernists, it seems that part of him is or was in a long battle with his intellect.
.. Dear Matthew and A Catholic Thinker
We remember keeping a mental score-card trying to figure him out, and it kept going back and forth between modernist and Catholic, “Fatima is a thing of the past” but he says the TLM and only gives Communion on the tongue..and the Motu…..until the balance got tipped all the way to modernist when we heard about his writing that we only evangelize the gentiles, and not the Jews. That ended the escore keeping because it condemns the people Jesus wept over to remaining in ignorance of their greatest needs
Dear Indignus,
–
I think Pope Benedict grew up with the true faith. His particular kind of intellectualism indicates a man trying to give a rational defense for the beliefs he once held with the simple and pure faith of a child. Having received poor formation in scholastic philosophy – German philosophy has always been a hotbed of intellectual corruption, being the birthplace of Transcendentalism, Idealism and Existentialism (not to mention Protestantism) and seminaries often spent more time treating these systems rather than giving solid instruction in the philosophy of the School – he fell prey to one of the cardinal errors of modernism: instead of subjecting reason to the higher authority of revelation, reducing the mysteries of the faith to that which is rationally comprehensible. Thus the internal conflict: the strong desire to uphold and defend the faith on the one hand and the equally strong refusal to accept anything on faith alone on the other.
Catholic to the core! awesome top 10!

Harris.
–
http://www.swordofpeter.blogspot.ch/2013/10/evolution.html

Dear James the Lesser,
Do you mean because it says there is nothing special about the placement of the earth, and so it is anti-Genesis, or something more?
Dear Christopher THANK YOU for this warning. To us, this is another Papal outrage which sound Catholics have an obligation to loudly denounce, in order to try to spare unsuspecting souls who might follow the Pope into error.
___
A few “telling” highlights from the above link regarding Cardinals CAMARA and SUENENS– Pope Francis’ “ROLE MODELS” for Charismatic Catholics:
========
=================
=====
======
yes, dear Matthew,–
that’s exactly what I meant.
Thanks a million for clarifying.. I;think we all should prepare for this, but maybe I’m over reacting to it, here is the link, dear brethren.

fFROM THE LINK IN #11 ABOVE -We hope you all agree this NEEDS to be seen: IT’S A CATHOLIC CALL FOR A CRUSADE :

Dear deMaria,
Thanks, and no problem. This gives it the attention it deserves/needs :-}
Can’t help but think of the Book of Revelations to St John
… the hour is come to reap: for the harvest of the earth is ripe.
… A king, the angel of the bottomless pit; in Latin Exterminans,
. his name was Death, and hell followed him. And power was given to him over the four parts of the earth, to kill with sword, with famine, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.
___
… And the angel thrust in his sharp sickle into the earth, and gathered the vineyard of the earth: [20] And the press was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the press, up to the horses’ bridles, for a thousand and six hundred furlongs.
___
… And I heard the number of them that were signed, an hundred forty-four thousand were signed…These who are come out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and have made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
…] And I heard a voice from heaven, Blessed are the dead, who die in the Lord. From henceforth now, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; for their works follow them.
p.s. The estimates are that over 500,000 refugees fled Mosul after Islamists took control on June 10th, and the few remaining left shortly after.
–
http://bit.ly/1kpl3tg
