”Your faith will always help you move on,” as the man reaches for the detonator button on his suicide vest.
“Get behind Me, Satan, for you are a scandal to Me for you do not mind the things of God, but of men.” Our Lord’s words to Peter. PRAY AND FAST FOR POPE FRANCIS!!
Powerful stuff Louie, but both are heartbraking.
Get thee hence, Satan.
He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me, scattereth.
For those who are leaning towards discouragement, or, God forbid, despondency–consider taking one hour to listen in its entirety to this, from Fr. Hardon -prior to year 2000-on the true {orthodox Catholic,} meaning of Divine Providence. I promise, it is relevant. http://www.therealpresence.org/archives/Video/0718/RP0718008.htm
daaaaaaaaang. just, daaaang.
Our Pope seems disturbingly un Catholic. He promotes that “any religion is good” philosophy. Upsetting and so WRONG!!! He leads by bad example in so doing….
If Francis ever returns to the Catholic faith and begs Our Lady’s intercession for the grace to ask the Lord for forgiveness for his heresies and blasphemies I will weep for joy that day. I will also weep for myself for having considered him an antipope. As things stand, however, I am not putting my hope on this man but on Our Lord through the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

“For there shall arise false Christs and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders, insomuch as to deceive (if possible) even the elect.”
Matthew 24:24
I wonder if this Pope even knows anything about the history of Mohammed and how Islam started? Muslims do not have a “leader” like Catholics have a Pope. They can go to whatever Mosque they like and it has more to do with following a “leader” and how they conduct that particular group much more like a fellowship than attending a Mass. Not to mention the many errors within that “religion” itself. Is this Pope really that brazen to think he could take the Muslims into his “fold” and honor them/ mention with such adoration and that it would be okay with the flock that he is actually neglecting? The Book of Revelations has certainly opened up and coming to fruition fast and this generation should be very watchful and prayerful.
Today, while cooking, as a habit I put the radio on……Al Kresta, then Tim Stapleton, the ‘light cream’ of Catholic Media………….you listen to these guys and all you hear is, how they praise the Bishop of Rome……a great Jesuit among so many others, like Fr. Pacwa, says Tim…………la, la, la, la……
Al, marvels how everybody loves Francis, he even made it on the cover of the Rolling Stones Magazine…..WOW! When Francis speaks, he speaks to the heart of ‘men’, even if the ‘head’ is not all there (it could be fixed). He is a great ‘son’ of his predecessors, very inspiring………his smile is beautiful, just like the smile of JP II…..Yes, Benedict smiled too……BUT NOT like Francis………..
Are we on the same planet earth? ……Somebody is ‘foolishly blind’…….and it ain’t us……….. or……….. are we?
I’m pretty sure if you could go back in time, and show this video to Saint Pius V, or any of the heroic popes, they would weep. Heck, i’m sure pope Borgia would be scandalized.
succinct clip, Louie. Thank you. I think reminding myself who and what a pope is by using all the popes as examples is important so as not to be lead astray by a Bishop of Rome who seems to have wandered into NOwhere land. Forewarned is forearmed.

Backtothefuture: I agree. There have been some unfortunate personalities as popes in the past, but by and large, they didn’t tend to mess with what we know we must believe. I think this video clip is what it is happening at the moment. A denial of the fullness of the Truth vouchsafed to him. This pope seems to the be son of those popes he admires and is happy to ignore the rest. In his address on Christian unity the other day Bishop Bergoglio (it’s important to give him his wish in how to address him) mentioned John XXIII, Paul VI, JPII, but no others, not even Benedict XVI, as representing the unity of the Christian Church.
“Well, that’s another fine mess you’ve gotten us into!”

If I was from Alabama, I would say “roll tide”.
If I said it once, I will say it a thousand times: the 60’s “hippie freak church” doesn’t stand a chance.
One thing jumped out at me while watching that – if the Church is undergoing her passion (I forget where I read that), then we are very close to the “crucifixion”. After Peter (whether it be this one or another) repents, the Church -at the hands of her own people who have turned against her as well as outside enemies – will be scourged and taken to Calvary. But, Deo gratias, that also means that the “resurrection” is close at hand.
The Church is suffering Gethsemane like Her Lord? Is that where we are?
I am sorry but in all honesty I have to agree with Halina. Something is seriously Wrong in my opinion when everybody both in and out of the Church LOVES THIS POPE , and why? Why is he everybody’s Person of the Year as well as the picture of him as SUPERPOPE. Even John Paul did not this kind of attention let’s be honest. Another strange thing anybody like Cardinal Burke who asks a simple question as well as writers lose their jobs. This seems very bizarre to me. Even the terrible MTV has made him MAN of the Year. I keep trying to give him the benefit of the doubt, but I have been wary of him and uneasy since the day he was elected. Even the name he chose does not sound right. On top of this he is a Jesuit from Latin American who came in second in 2005 yet I hear some Cardinals call him a disaster, so why did they elect him?.

With respect with our “coprophagia obsessed” bishop of Rome, all we can do is pray for the wretched sinner.
Archbishop Lefebvre, ora pro nobis.
St. Thomas Aquinas, ora pro nobis.
