June 24, 2022, will forever go down in American history as the day the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that “the Constitution does not confer a right to abortion.”
“Roe and Casey are overruled; and the authority to regulate abortion is returned to the people and their elected representatives,” the majority opinion concluded.
Reactions to the ruling have been sharply divided, mainly along political lines.
On the right, many self-identified pro-life Christians have been so effusive in their public expressions of joy that one would think that the High Court had formally decreed the Kingship of Christ.
Fox News contributor Todd Starnes, for example, posted a meme on social media (that a number of “traditional” Catholics promptly shared) stating:
The Supreme Court is pro-God, pro-guns, pro-babies. God Bless America!
Really? Since when is it “pro-God” to declare that “the authority to regulate” the wanton extermination of innocent human beings (that is, to legally allow it) belongs to “the people and their representatives”?
Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m pleased that Roe has been overturned, but a Catholic perspective on the matter is far more tempered:
The court’s ruling, insofar as it opens the way for individual states to outlaw abortion, is an improvement. That said, it falls well short of validating any claims that the moral conscience of America is awakening, much less that it proves God shed His grace on thee.
Is the situation better today with regard to abortion in the U.S. than it was last week? Sure. Roughly half the states are expected to outlaw abortion once the dust settles and that’s good thing.
Hell responded immediately as representatives of the screeching maggottry swiftly flooded the streets in front of the Supreme Court building, and elsewhere, in protest.
The news media unintentionally undermined the cause by disseminating images of sweaty tattooed bull dikes and orange-haired skanks waving coat hangers and booty signs, some of them well past menopause, flanked by testosterone-free soy boys seemingly content to play the part of an emotional support animal, none of whom appeared as likely candidates for pro-creative mating.
It looked as though Pete Buttigieg and Lori Lightfoot had somehow spawned an extended family and hosted a multi-generational block party style reunion, either that or a public school teachers’ meeting had just let out.
Less amusing is the growing list of mega corporations that are vowing to pay the travel expenses of workers who are “forced” to go out-of-state to have their offspring mutilated by a licensed executioner. As I write, the HR departments of these companies are presumably updating their employee handbooks to include reference to paid vacortion benefits. Of course, they will first have to decide how many times any one individual hose bag can receive the benefit in a given calendar year.
Even less amusing still are the threats of violence coming from lowlife, blood thirsty Democrat political leaders and their minions.
Of all the reactions to the Dobbs v. Jackson decision, however, the most noteworthy one comes to us from the Synagogue of Satan, “them that say they are Jews and are not” (Apoc. 2:9, 3:9).
As reported by NBC News:
In wake of Roe reversal, some American Jews see attack on religious liberty
In statements following the release of Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, the ruling that overruled Roe, organizations such as the American Jewish Committee, the Anti-Defamation League, Hillel International and the Women’s Rabbinic Network expressed deep anguish.
“In this moment, our feelings are best embodied by Numbers 11:10: ‘God became exceedingly angry; and Moses despaired.’ … We stand with generations of Jewish scholars who state clearly and unequivocally that abortion access is a Jewish value,” the Women’s Rabbinic Network said.
This is Bergoglian level blasphemy! What this statement deliberately leaves out of its Scripture reference is the reason why God was angry and Moses despaired:
You see, God had given the stiff-necked Jews manna from Heaven but, rather than expressing gratitude for the Lord’s solicitousness, they wept and complained, saying, “Give us flesh, that we may eat” (Numbers 11:13).
Oh, how little has changed!
Today, we have godless self-identified Jews – a people who turn their collective nose up at the Bread of Life come down from Heaven – who are weeping and complaining after human flesh.
Of their forebears, who rejected Christ and called for His death, Our Lord said:
You are of your father the Devil, and the desires of your father you will do (John 8:44).
Nothing has changed. In the present circumstance, the Pharisee’s progeny is pleased – nay, make that Hell bent and determined – to fulfill the Devil’s desire for human sacrifice.
The NBC story continues:
The decision to sweep away Roe and about 50 years of legal precedent, the group went on to say, “must be understood as a violation of the United States Constitution which guarantees our freedom to practice our religion and also our freedom from the dictates of other religions.”
The American Jewish Committee (AJC) also played the religious freedom card:
Overturning abortion access, as numerous states already have, denies individuals health care options consistent with their religious beliefs, including many in the Jewish community, thereby presenting issues of religious freedom and privacy.
Did you get that? The AJC and the Rabbinical Chicks are plainly confirming precisely what many Catholics have long since recognized:
For members of the so-called “pro-choice” cult – including but not limited to the Synagogue of Satan – abortion is a religious rite, it is the sacramental centerpiece of their false, diabolical religion.
The beauty of their argument – namely, that a right to abortion exists as a function of the First Amendment right to religious freedom – is that it lays bare the true source of the fatal disease that has infected this nation from its very founding, namely, the U.S. Constitution’s audacious attempt to supplant the Sovereign Rights of Christ the King with the will of “We the People.”
The prognosis for nations, such as the United States, that are constitutionally ordered in such a way as to formally deny the Kingship of Christ is certain, and let’s just say the outlook is bleak.
In his magnificent Encyclical, Quas Primas, Pope Pius XI provided a fitting description of the U.S. when he wrote of nations where:
…the religion of Christ [is] likened to false religions and placed ignominiously on the same level with them.
Who can deny that this is precisely what the doctrine of religious freedom – as held not just in the U.S. but also by the conciliar counterfeit church – effectively accomplishes?
The Holy Father continues, providing what sounds like American history:
It [the religion of Christ] was put under the power of the state and tolerated more or less at the whim of princes and rulers … insulting the beloved name of our Redeemer by suppressing all mention of it in their conferences and parliaments.
In conclusion, the overturning of Roe is a positive development, and it would be wrong to shrug it off as though it were meaningless. That said, let’s be clear about what actually took place:
The Supreme Court replaced an unjust ruling with one that is less unjust. That’s it.
Let us also be clear that the trajectory of the United States, vis-à-vis its constitutionally mandated rejection of Christ’s Kingship, remains unchanged.
As Pope Pius XI warned of such nations, it is “hurrying along the road to ruin and death.”
