On October 22, 2026, the date on which the Novus Ordo church celebrates the Feast of Rabbi Karol Wojtyla (aka John Paul the Great Ecumenist), Leo held a private audience with a forty-member delegation from the American Jewish Committee (AJC).
These private audience affairs are not uncommon in conciliar Rome, but this one stands out in that it was something akin to a CEO sucking up to his Board of Directors.
As documented in this space any number of times, the AJC and its theological advisor, Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel, were instrumental in steering the direction and outcome of Vatican Council II, not only as it concerned Nostra Aetate, but also the Decree on Ecumenism and even Dignitatis Humanae (this latter connection being one that I will develop further in a future post).
[For more, see HERE where I argue that “Nostra Aetate and Unitatis Redintegratio are like brother and sister, offspring of the same Jewish influence.”]
At this, let’s consider the address that Leo delivered to his esteemed taskmasters… I mean, guests.
As expected, he began by citing his “beloved predecessor,” the aforementioned Rabbi Wojtyla, who said, “Dialogue between Christians and Jews must find eloquent expression in the life of both of our communities.”
Leo then added:
These words remain relevant today, as reflected in your organization’s longstanding commitment to dialogue and to cooperation with the Catholic Church.
The conciliar enterprise speaks often about “dialogue with the Jews,” but who’s kidding who? There is precious little dialogue taking place between these two parties, rather, that relationship is largely characterized by a one-way stream of communication that consists of Jewish demands and conciliar capitulation. For example:
[NB: For the sake expedience, I refer here to “Jews” in the colloquial sense, with no intention whatsoever to suggest that Apocalypse 2:3, 3:3 does not apply.]
St. Paul regarding unbelieving Jews: “For all who rely on works of the law are under a curse” (Gal. 3:10). He explains that it is Jesus, who they reject, who “redeemed us from the curse of the law” (Gal. 3:13).
JEWISH DEMAND: Cease teaching that Jews are under a curse.
CAPITULATION: “Although the Church is the new people of God, the Jews should not be presented as rejected or accursed by God, as if this followed from the Holy Scriptures.” (Nostra Aetate 4)
Pope Pius XII: “And first of all, by the death of our Redeemer, the New Testament took the place of the Old Law which had been abolished” (Mystici Corporis 29).
JEWISH DEMAND: Cease teaching that we, by rejecting Christ, are no longer in a salvific covenant relationship with God.
CAPITULATION: “The New Covenant can never replace the Old… It does not in any way follow that the Jews are excluded from God’s salvation because they do not believe in Jesus Christ as the Messiah of Israel and the Son of God.” (The gifts and the Calling of God are Irrevocable – Conciliar Dicastery for Promoting Christian Unity, 2015)
St. Paul regarding the unbelieving Jews: “Because of unbelief they were broken off [from the Tree of Life] … if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be grafted in: for God is able to graft them in again” (see Romans 11).
Jesus Christ to His Church: “And Jesus coming, spoke to them, saying: All power is given to me in heaven and in earth. Going therefore, teach ye all nations: baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you (Matthew 28:18-20) [NB: No “get out of jail free” card for the unbelieving Jews.]
JEWISH DEMAND: Cease teaching that we are broken off from the olive tree and in need of being grafted in again (i.e., converted to Christ), rather, speak as if we are both one.
CAPITULATION: “The Church draws sustenance from the root of that well-cultivated olive tree onto which has been grafted the wild shoots, the Gentiles. Indeed, the Church believes that by His cross Christ, Our Peace, reconciled Jews [of our time] and Gentiles, making both one in Himself. (cf Nostra Aetate 4) The Catholic Church neither conducts nor supports any specific institutional mission work directed towards Jews.” (The gifts and the Calling of God are Irrevocable– Conciliar Dicastery for Promoting Christian Unity, 2015)
Many more examples could be given, but the bottom line is that the conciliar church’s relationship with the Jews is one of subservience.
Picking up where we left off, Leo went on:
I therefore welcome this opportunity to express gratitude to all who continue to build relationships, grounded in sincerity and mutual respect, between our respective communities. Rooted in our shared spiritual heritage, this friendship also calls us to defend human dignity…
Like “dialogue,” the notion of “mutual respect” is also an empty phrase that belies the true nature of this relationship. These people have exactly no respect for the true Church of Christ (or the conciliar counterfeit, for that matter) beyond the purely superficial.
In fact, AJC is quietly committed to grooming future generations of Jews to despise and to mock Jesus Christ, the Blessed Virgin, and thus faithful Christians. How so? By way of the Talmud.
In a text that proposes to offer Guidance for K-12 Schools to Ensure the Jewish Experience is Included Across the Curriculum it is plainly acknowledged:
The foundational texts of Judaism (which is the religion of the Jewish people) are the Hebrew Bible and the Talmud, which each contain laws, ethics, and narratives central to Jewish faith, identity, and practice.
Among the ethics enumerated in the Talmud are the eight genders that it lists, including those of persons born male (female) but who take on female (male) characteristics by way of human intervention. (See HERE) Add to this the fact that AJC is on record in support of the LGBT agenda – including gay marriage – to say nothing of its public support for abortion on demand.
NB: These views are shared by the overwhelming majority of self-identified Jews.
And yet, Leo, being the faithful servant of his Jewish overlords, shrugged these things off (along with their rejection of Jesus Christ) as mere “differences of opinion.”
Differences of opinion, however profound, must never give rise to prejudice and hostility, which undermine the moral foundations of our society.
Seriously? If rejecting Christ, promoting abortion, transgenderism, and gay marriage don’t constitute an offense against human dignity (properly understood) that serves to undermine the moral foundations of our society then what do?
Leo then provided his listeners with yet another overused and disingenuous phrase as he spoke of a joint “commitment to fraternity” between Jews and Christians.
What is actual fraternity, and on what is it based?
For the Catholic, the answer is simple:
For whosoever shall do the will of my Father, that is in heaven, he is my brother, and sister, and mother. (Matthew 12:50)
It hardly bears saying aloud: Those who oppose Jesus Christ are not our brothers, i.e., fraternity simply does not exist between us in any meaningful sense. Period.
Even so, Leo went on to tell his Jewish guests that by showing this alleged fraternity “with effective gestures,” together they “will certainly contribute to building a more peaceful world.”
About the attainment of authentic peace, Pope Pius XI taught:
When once men recognize, both in private and in public life, that Christ is King, society will at last receive the great blessings of real liberty, well-ordered discipline, peace and harmony. (Quas Primas 19)
All of the earthbound, feel-good, gestures between self-described Christians and the enemies of Our Lord are incapable of fostering peace. As Pope Pius XI observed, thrusting Jesus Christ and His holy law out of men’s private affairs and politics can only lead to an increase in manifold evils. (ibid.)
Among other blasphemies, the Talmud teaches that Christ the King is boiling in excrement in Hell. The conciliar church, presently under the headship of Robert Prevost, behaves as if He is.
In that sense, I suppose they really are brothers; brothers united in opposition to the reign and the rule of Christ the King.
