The photo above shows a woman, with a bowl of dirt and a some kind of rattle, at the pagan ceremony that took place in the Vatican gardens to open the Synod on the Amazon. That bowl, which now contains plants and flowers, eventually made its way onto the altar at St. Peter’s Basilica for the closing Mass.
According to Vatican News, the soil used in the opening ritual is “steeped in significance,” the things it served to call to mind (e.g., Amazonian culture, the climate crisis, the plight of migrants, etc.) being entirely man-centered.
Well, not entirely.
In a post earlier today, Ann Barnhardt confirmed what many suspected; planters of the sort on display at St. Peters are not uncommonly used by pagans in Pachamama (Mother Earth) worship. With this in mind, many are outraged that such a thing should have found its way onto the altar at Mass yesterday.
I get it, but I’m only partially one of them.
Is it an outrage that the Pachamama planter was given such pride of place at St. Peter’s?
Absolutely!
As for its use in the Novus Ordo?
Well, that’s another story. I’ll explain…
The heresiarch Martin Luther called the Offertory prayer in the Traditional Roman Rite an “utter abomination.” So, guess which part of the Mass was duly repudiated after Vatican Council II, with the blessing of Pope Paul VI, in order to create a new rite that is clearly more pleasing to protestants?
You got it… the Offertory.
In its place in the Novus Ordo, after the laity carry up “the gifts,” the priest prays a Jewish “Barucha” (blessing) over the bread and the wine that begins:
Blessed are you, Lord, God of all creation. Through your goodness we have this bread to offer, which earth has given and human hands have made…
Note well what is being offered: that which earth has given and human hands have made.
As those who are inclined to defend the Novus Ordo may point out, the missal elsewhere refers to “offerings … gathered from among your [God’s] gifts to us.” Besides, one might insist, by the time the “earth has given” prayer is recited at the altar, the Creed has already credited God the Father with being the “maker of heaven and earth.” Therefore, one could arguably connect the dots for themselves in order to pacify their Catholic sensibilities.
This just goes to show the diabolical ingenuity of the new Mass; its architects managed to construct a rite that could conceivably placate the false beliefs of just about everyone – heretics, humanists, and even those who are Hell bent on the personification of nature.
Consider how starkly the Novus Ordo prayer contrasts with the prayers of the Traditional Roman Rite:
Wherefore, O Lord, we Thy servants, as also Thy holy people, calling to mind the blessed Passion of the same Christ, Thy Son, our Lord, His resurrection from the dead, and His glorious Ascension into heaven, offer to Thy supreme Majesty from Thine own gifts bestowed upon us, a pure Victim, a holy Victim, an unblemished Victim, the holy Bread of life everlasting, and the Chalice of everlasting salvation. [Emphasis added]
In this, there is no need to connect any dots; rather, it is perfectly clear that in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass we are offering to God what He Himself has bestowed upon us.
In viewing these two prayers side-by-side, one can see that Novus Ordo prayer at the altar not only personifies nature, it divinizes it – speaking as if Mother Earth is herself the ultimate cause and benevolent giver of good gifts, thus usurping the Lord’s unique role.
Could Annibale Bugnini and his merry band of liturgical destroyers have envisioned a day when pagan idols would adorn the churches of Rome, even to the point of seeing an offering to Pachamama on the altar at St. Peter’s at the direction of a supposed pope?
Probably not, but the fact remains that the earth worship that has been taking place in Rome over the last several weeks, as well as the abomination that took place in St. Peter’s yesterday, is not foreign to the Novus Ordo. On the contrary, it is present in nascent form in the very text of the bastard rite of Paul VI, a rite that contains, and is fertile ground for, all manner of evil.
Wait a second. Isn’t the Bogus Disordo okay as long as it’s committed “reverently”???
“…those who are inclined to defend the Novus Ordo…”
will wind up in the same boat as the present-day enemies of Christ who are producing this freak show that falsely flies under the banner of “Catholicism.”
Agree, probably Bugnini have not envisioned a day when pagan idols would adorn the churches of Rome, yet somebody have.
Does it matter. We are all shell shocked. What we know:
Our pope blessed a pagan ceremony on sacred, Catholic ground (the bones of St. Peter are there).
He blessed a demon idol used during the rite, when a little, phallic idol was also used. It was obviously a Satanic ceremony, not remotely Catholic.
He blessed people who are not recognizably Catholic, but pagan.
He has virtually destroyed the priesthood.
He has virtually enacted for the first time ever, female deacons.
He told a journalist Christ is not divine. (never refuted, as usual)
He apologized for faithful Catholics to the pagans. He then insulted once again, faithful Catholics. He threatened us with use of the demon idols at the Mass.
He used a pot of dirt during the offertory, and put this representative of Pachamama on the altar. The man’s bile and venom has no limit.
And this enthronement of Pachamama (the dragon, the pagan god who the pagans have in the past sacrificed beautiful children to), either took place in the Vatican garden in front of the eyes of the world, or during the Mass in St. Peter’s. But this pope has replaced Jesus Christ, Our Lord, Savior, and Redeemer, with the dragon god, on the Feast of Christ the King. It would be insane to say that is not relevant.
Will our “good” Cardinals and bishops wait until a child is sacrificed on the altar before they finally declare this man a heretic who has taken himself out of the papacy on his own volition by his breaking of the First Commandment “Thou shalt have no false gods before me”. Will they NOW do what they have taken vows to do, defend Christ and His church, as well as the flock? We must demand they DO.
I always thought it clever of Anthony Cekada, a Sedevacantist Catholic priest, to use for the title of his book, a theological critique of the NO mass of PaulVI, “Work of Human Hands”.
Just a couple of questions, Evangeline:
“Our pope blessed a pagan ceremony…”
He’s actually a pope?
” Will our “good” Cardinals and bishops wait until a child is sacrificed on the altar before they finally declare this man a heretic…”
Could you list some of the ‘”good” Cardinals and bishops’?
I find the Novus Ordo (no matter how reverently celebrated) to be 1000 times more offensive to Catholic sensibilities than the Amazon idols.
I was surprised there wasn’t more outrage back in 2013 when he placed a beachball on the high altar at St. Mary Major. Talk about the work of human hands. The seeds of his error have grown into full blown trees bearing bad fruit. The only apparent thing missing is the human child sacrifice. Or is it? Certainly those Pachamama figures are a representation of a child to come, which they are offering up. Sends shivers down my spine.
Not my pope.
It’s the frog in the boiling water. Time to jump out for those who have been in the pot too long. Get out before you feel the fires of Hell. Jorge is the product of the V2 “church”. His brain is numb.
So why the beach ball by the tabernacle on the High Altar? God made air and air is good. God gave man the intellect to invent plastic and plastic is good. God might like beach volleyball. At least He never said he didn’t. Let me, the Pope, offer this beachball to God. I’m hip. I’m with it. Taka taka taka. Amen.

No. They will write a “love” letter respectfully asking the “holy father” for a clarification on this “irregularity”.
These impostors have already done this for years in fact; and watched innocent children constantly being sacrificed to the “god” of this world.
Let’s recap. The Pope, in addition to bread and wine, accepted pagan offerings to pagan gods during one of the principal parts of the Mass, the Offertory. He then had a bowl of dirt (as a pagan symbol) placed on the altar for the remainder of the Mass. Since the gods of the pagans are devils, this was essentially a Black Mass offered by the Pope. The Pope committed a terrible sacrilege which will have far reaching consequences.
The bigger sacrilege is the Novus Ordo itself.
That’s right, Tom A. How do you desecrate a desecration?
The SSPX has weighed in:

I hear the sedevacantist theory, and personally, I’m not opposed to it. In fact I’d like nothing better. But if he is not pope, only Catholics in the year 3010 will know it, we certainly won’t, because that’s just not how it works. To me it seems a waste of energy, because like it or not we are a tiny fragment of the church and the mainstream will not hear it. It is the ant telling the elephant what it must do.
There are about five reasonably faithful Cardinals, you know them, Burke, Schneider, Muller, Brandemuller, (I believe his name is), and maybe one or so more. There are other men who love Christ and the faith, but they aren’t going to mix it up with Bergolio. Cardinal Sarah has tragically, recently proven where his allegiance is. We have also a handful of faithful bishops, the kind we could expect to do something, Bishop Gracida for one, he’s been courageous and forthright, but he may be retired. Certainly Archbishop Vigano, but he’s in hiding for fear of his own life.
But out of a motley crew of weak and cowardly men, God can do great things, and he can use these men, in fact, Christianity is full of such weak men who still answered the call. Our Lady almost always appeared to weak and vulnerable children, so it can be done.
We need to encourage our clergy to do what needs to be done, and leave it up to God whether or not they do it. If this is not in God’s plan, it will not be done, but it is an expectation we as the laity should have. This will be to do our part.
I don’t agree Tom. At least one can say the purpose of the NO Mass is similar to what the TLM does, however lacking in proper form and matter.
The enthronement by the pope of a demon as a replacement for the Kingship of Jesus Christ is a sin of such magnitude and apostasy it is impossible to quantify.
It alone is enough to cause catastrophic effects, and he has already committed it. We should all ask God many times for His protection for whatever comes.
My problem with the NO is that it is more sinister than simply placing a graven image on the altar. The NO worships Man and does so while pretending to worship God.
Evangeline:
What’s most important for you and your faith is this; would you consider Francis a heretic?
Why I ask is in all honesty; let’s say you were standing right in front of the Lord Jesus right now, could you confess to Him that Francis as your pope?
Finally, and what I’m getting to is this; in almost every “mass of the faithful”, taking place now, and in that very canon of the mass, the statement “Francis our Pope” takes place. In this place during what should be the most solemn and most holy time of worship, before the Lord, can we really confess this? Or do we lie?
That means we are in communion with Francis, we see him as a worthy successor of Peter, and all the faithful Popes, many of who were martyrs. We agree with him and honor him.
Can we do this?
If we cannot, then we must take courage and face the Truth, because inevitably we will all face Him, very soon.
Agreed. Both are damaging to the unsuspecting. It is a point that the NO is more sinister in that it is harder to detect error, relatively speaking.
