In recent conversations with friends and colleagues, it seems to be the consensus that something in the spiritual realm is stirring. One can just feel it in their bones.
Over the last several weeks alone I’ve been given any number of concrete reasons to believe that God is assembling His forces; setting in motion circumstances that are opening up new opportunities for collaboration in defense of the true faith, and establishing pathways for mutual support among those who seek to embrace it.
The converse, of course, is equally as tangible. The Evil One, it seems, is working overtime in an effort to incite division; even among those once united as Catholic brothers-in-arms.
The “battlefield” where this struggle is most notably taking place concerns Fatima.
There have always been varying approaches to promoting the authentic message given by Our Lady at Fatima among those committed to the effort. Today, however, the Agitator seems to be succeeding in creating dissension in the ranks as never before.
Where once there was a willingness to assume good will on the part of all concerned, I have reason to say that this no longer seems to be so.
Case in point: How do we react to statements such as those given by Cardinal Burke (and others, like Fr. Linus Clovis, for example) that clearly indicate that his eyes are being opened to truths that he once rejected; even as it is equally as clear from his statements that he remains intent on promoting certain dangerous falsehoods?
This is an important debate.
As a wise friend recently said to me, it seems that the truth is setting itself free; becoming more and more discernible to those of good will.
In other words, we might expect to see some who had once been deceived come around to the truth as the aforementioned spiritual battle intensifies.
Though the will may be good, however, such persons may also remain gravely mistaken in certain critically important ways; even as they journey, hopefully, toward embracing the full truth about the present crisis.
With one foot in each world, so to speak, how should we react when influential persons give public statements containing both important truths and dangerous errors?
For my part, I take very seriously the warning given to us in Sacred Scripture about “a little leaven” spoiling the entire lump.
I believe that poison is poison even when it is mixed with good food; in fact, I am convinced that it is all the more likely to be ingested by the naïve when it is so mixed.
As such, while I am pleased to point to that which is true, I also intend to call attention to error everywhere that I see it – not to embarrass or humiliate anyone, much less for the sake of being provocative or scoring points to some ill-defined end (as I’ve been accused) – but simply because the poison under discussion can kill.
Others whom I respect think differently, preferring instead to take a more tactical approach; one that accentuates the positive in the hope of achieving some greater good.
To them I would propose that we revisit a topic about which all of us are in complete agreement; ecumenism.
What is the problem with the modern ecumenical movement?
It seeks to downplay, if not overlook entirely, important doctrinal differences in favor of shining a spotlight on what we have in common with our so-called “separated brethren.”
As John Vennari, (buon’ anima!) once put it:
“At face value, how could any true Catholic subscribe to the absurd notion that a religious unity according to God’s will is possible by playing down any aspect whatsoever of God’s revelation concerning Himself, His Church, and our salvation only to magnify what is believed ‘in common?’”
Not one single solitary participant in the common cause of promoting the message of Fatima disagrees with the point that John was making; we simply cannot ascribe to the absurd notion that God’s will is done by magnifying truths held in common while downplaying grave errors.
This is the false ecumenism of modern day Rome; a central feature of Vatican Council II – the same that Our Blessed Lady came to warn us about at Fatima – and we reject it and its commitment to abstain from condemning error.
Speaking of false ecumenism, there has never been one so illustrious among the ranks of its practitioners as John Paul the Great Ecumenist of whom Cardinal Burke said during his talk given at the recent Roman Life Forum:
“The pontificate of Pope Saint John Paul II, in fact, may be rightly described as a tireless call to recognize the Church’s challenge to be faithful to her divinely given mission…”
Do any of us really believe this?
Certainly not! We recognize the pontificate of John Paul II as a monumental disaster; precisely in part because he failed to act on Our Lady’s requests and to heed the warnings that she issued at Fatima.
Remember, this is the same pope who apparently thought that the Assisi events were a better way to achieve world peace than the plan presented by Our Lady!
Even so, Cardinal Burke made it a point to hold John Paul II up as a model to be followed by those who wish to embrace the message of Fatima.
Cardinal Burke also called attention to the Council by quoting the Polish pope who said of himself during his visit to Fatima on May 13, 1982:
“Today John Paul II, successor of Peter, continuer of the work of Pius, John, and Paul, and particular heir of the Second Vatican Council, presents himself before the Mother of the Son of God in her Shrine at Fatima.” [Emphasis in text provided by Voice of the Family, host of the Roman Life Forum.]
Do any of us believe that the Second Vatican Council is in any way compatible with the pontificate of Pope Pius XII, much less the message of Fatima?
Of course not; we know that Our Lady came to preempt the “suicide of altering the Faith” of which the future Pope Pius XII spoke – the same that took place at the Council.
If Cardinal Burke’s commingling of truth and error as demonstrated thus far isn’t cause enough for concern, know that he even saw fit to hold up Paul VI of most bitter memory as a model of insight:
“Blessed Pope Paul VI and Pope Saint John Paul II addressed the increasing gravity of the incursion of an atheistic materialism, secularism and relativism in the Church with the call for a new evangelization. For Blessed Pope Paul VI, a new evangelization is the fundamental form of proclaiming the truth of Christ in our time.”
Do any of us believe that one does well to look to Paul VI for guidance in understanding, much less carrying out, the mission of the Church in our time?
It is to laugh! This is the pope who relinquished the Triregnum thus symbolically making it clear that the Kingship of Christ and thus the mission that He gave to His Church was no longer Rome’s concern.
With all of this in mind, I will ask but one final question:
Is it enough to magnify Cardinal Burke’s call for the consecration of Russia and his acknowledgement that the Third Secret contains a warning about diabolical forces entering the Church, while overlooking his promotion of things entirely contrary to the Fatima message, or is doing so as untenable as the approach taken by modern day ecumenists and for the very same reasons?
How did “orthodoxy” in neo-Catholic circles get reduced to questions of morality? Paul VI, John Paul II, and Benedict XVI are all held up as examples because of their traditionalism in the moral issues of contraception, divorce, homosexuality, etc.; their deviations on doctrinal issues are always ignored or explained away. Francis is only raising eyebrows because he’s mucking about with the clarity of Catholic doctrine on marriage (and the other sacraments in a less direct way), but his ecumenical overtures aren’t really much different from his predecessors. For all his pontificating against the idolatry of money and power and “certainty,” he, like his predecessors, has shown himself much less concerned with ACTUAL idolatry and other sins against the first commandment.
It is very disheartening that there is no sign of any member of the Hierarchy not affected by VII in some way or another, especially when the Catholic faithful are crying out for the leadership of even one loyal successor to St. Peter & the First Apostles to restore Tradition to the CC. The ideology of man-made false ecumenism has poisoned the very root system of the True Faith with the present incumbent of the Papal Office saying there is no Catholic God, no Hell, no sin worthy of true repentance & commitment to change one’s life & surrounding himself with ‘advisers’ who actively promote satanic policies contrary to Catholic Doctrine. Stacking-up the Hierarchy with Marxist/Masonic/Modernist appointees making it nigh to impossible to cast out this insidious satanic NWO religion that wants to eradicate God from His own creation.
The deliberate denial of catechesis since VII means that about three generations are now without any teaching of the True Faith nor the necessity in adhering to the One Holy Catholic & Apostolic Church founded by Christ Himself on St. Peter & the First Apostles for the salvation of their souls. Everyone now is the same, even infidels & those denominations who steadfastly uphold the LGBTQ agenda which includes abortion on demand, euthanasia, contraception, ssm etc. If the four Cardinals had shown some courage & had issued the formal correction as they promised we may not have had a Marxist pope representing us in Fatima nor these latest additions to the Catholic Hierarchy. I pray they will publicly present the formal correction soonest & deal with the consequences. God always wins!
And after the “formal correction?” Then what? It isnt simply a matter of courage. There just is not any way to formally correct, admonish, depose, or reprimand a Pope. You have been pushing this bogus Siscoe Salsa idea for months. What I want to know from you and other promoters of this proposal is…And the what? What happens next? What is the final endgame?
Ana Milan is asking for what we have every right to ask, clarity. We have every right to expect that with the church, as fractured as she is, with the people suffering, that even one of our Cardinals will step into the breach and call out the apostates. What happens next? Who knows, but, what this would do is identify for the faithful, that they need pay attention and be exceedingly cautious. It throws down a gauntlet that should be thrown, must be thrown. If souls are misled, and may go to Hell, indeed, isn’t it a moral obligation for Cardinals to speak out? Do we not have the right to expect, as we have for months now, the follow-up to the issuance of the dubia? The dubia were issued, and it was stated that there would have to be a formal correction if they were not answered, and yet…nothing! So were the Cardinals…just fooling? Not actually prepared to go to the next step? Did someone “convince them” it was not a wise idea, and best forgotten?
There is the scandal of a pope off the rails, an apostate.
There is, to me anyway, the worse scandal of NO Cardinals or Bishops, none, willing to do what the heartbroken faithful Catholic has long waited for, simply defend Christ and the faith with strength, directness, and zeal for the souls in peril. We have our brothers and sisters in the faith being beheaded by jihadists. Children, the innocent, have lost their lives rather than deny Christ.
But we also have men who will not risk unpopularity, or a cozy position, for Christ. This is a terrible scandal for Catholics, raised on the heritage of past martyrs and the expectation that we too, may be called and should be ready.
Why do Cardinals wear red!
I have lost confidence in these men. Entirely. Ana Milan has not. She is right to expect them to do what they said they would do. I hope she is not disappointed.
“How did ‘orthodoxy’ in neo-Catholic circles get reduced to questions of morality?”
A very interesting question. I’d like to see a full treatment of it.
Such a treatment would have go back at least as far as Kant, and likely much farther.
I don’t trust Card. Burke any more than I do Bergoglio. His effeminate manner of speaking is enough to turn me off.
Taking no “sides” in the answer at this time, this is a very important question. Is it really possible to “roll-back” to an authentic Papacy when at this time (unless there is one or a few brave Cardinals hiding out and as yet reluctant to speak) we have no Cardinals who proclaim pure and unadulterated the authentic pre-reformed/modernized Catholic Faith? Even the best of them (and the best priests) admix JUST enough questionable stuff into what are otherwise stellar representations of the Faith to make one realize they are NOT purely centered in authentic doctrine and dogma.
As AuntJulie said, there are no more truly faithful Cardinals or Bishops left in the conciliar church to call out the modernists. Why? Because they are also modernists of a different flavor, but still modernists. How can Burke call Bergolio a heretic when Burke is a heretic too? This is the point Ana needs to accept. Burke and Sarah and Schneider and all the other traddie looking conciliar clergy are modernists too, just like Jorge. They all accept V2 and the NO thus objectively demonstrating to the whole world their compromise with the world. Stick only with clergy who say the TLM exclusively. You place your soul in danger of being corrupted by modernism when worshipping with modernists.
Thank you, dear sister in Christ, for expressing simply the awful truth of the situation under which we abandoned Faithful suffer as we see God and the Holy Faith spurned and derided by Pope, bishops and priests. Lord have mercy upon us. Give us the grace to persevere.
Amen. The continual public affront to God and the Holy Faith by the apparent Pope must be forcefully condemned and action taken to declare him the heretic he is beyond any reasonable doubt. Lord, have mercy.
“[W]hen the Son of Man comes, will he find, do you think, faith on the earth?”
-Luke 18:8
Agreed. What we now have as the Francis effect has been a step-by-step process starting with changing theology, then worship and the sacraments, and finished with meddling with morality. Paul VI started the modernists ball rolling (at a great pace) by modernising theology and worship, JPII continued P6’s legacy while adding radical ecumanism and now Francis is taking P6 and JPII’s legacies to a new logical level by applying the death blow (as Our Lady predicted) to morality and the family. Many of those who are waking up to the Francis effect are not joining the dots to what has led to it. It’s almost as if the understanding is “as long as morality remains orthodox the rest doesn’t matter.” It’s akin to saying “as long as the engine is running the rest of the car’s vital components (transmission, drive-train, steering) don’t matter?” Uhm….yes they do!
Considering the amount of Catholics and even pre VII Popes and modern day sedes who subscribe to or promoted the condemned heresy of heliocentrism, nobody gets to talk. The Copernican revolution is what lies at the heart of all this.
Everyone should watch the following video and look forward to the whole thing when it releases. A real eye-opener. You want to know what led to the Council? It was this! Consider that when you consider the Miracle of Fatima.

Only formal heretics cease to be Catholic. If invincible ignorance is at work then this is a factor that must be established and corrected prior to judgement. The error must be pertinaciously held in the face of the Truth.
Whether we like it or not, this crop of cardinals are the bunch we’re going to have to work with.
Archbishop Lefebvre:
“Q. Rome these days, seems to be over-run with Modernists. Do you have any real friends there?
A. They who might be our friends, and who recognize the damage which Modernism is causing to the Church, have not had the courage to uphold it, and so it is possible to say that Rome is almost completely occupied by the Modernists. All that is done there is done according to modernistic principles.”
In he 1600s, Our Lady of Good Success appeared to Venerable Mother Mariana Dr Jesus Torres and spoke specifically about our times.
Our Lady of Good Success promised that God would send a holy prelate to us during the complete restoration of The Church. This will happen. I hope we are priveledged to know him and to be aware that it is happening.

And on a more positive note, God has not abandoned us. The fact that I am writing this is proof. How much He has so generously given to me in these terrible times of The Church! We are able to learn our faith from so many good priests who are willing to teach it. I may not be able to attend Latin Mass, but He provides for me in my catacomb. Just yesterday, thanks to john6, I listened to a beautiful talk about rogation days, and I was able to practice this in my home on that very day. I don’t know where you all are, but I have much to learn, and God has provided resources right at my finger tips, literally. During these difficult times for EVERYONE, God has allowed for my spiritual growth and knowledge about His True Church. For this I am grateful. I am not entitled to any of it. Thanks be to Our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Imagine that. Through all this modernist, demonic, infiltration of The Church, when it is at the worst point, today, that we have ever lived through, I am learning more than I have ever known about The True Church. If that doesn’t have God written all over it, I don’t know what does. He does what He wishes.
Amen. Alleluia. In caritas.
Good morning J-Bomb,
“Rome will lose the Faith and become the Seat of the Antichrist.”—- Our Lady of LaSalette. If we take your brief, stepwise analysis of what has happened, J-Bomb, and place it into the very specific light of what Our Lady, Our Love, Our Mother and the Mother of the One Who Is Love, proclaimed at LaSalette, what we arrive at very quickly is the only truth of that which can explain what has manifestly and existentially occurred in Rome, with its nascent genesis in 1958. It was literally and truly the de-facto birth of the Antichurch in Rome, while all dressed up Catholic in its extant manifestations, it is at once completely and utterly devoid of all things Christ Jesus and therefore it simply cannot be authentically Catholic. Only when this last movement, the final progression, within the logical reality of the understanding of all that has happened to Christ’s Church in its totality, can we see that the Mystical Body of Christ has been walking Its Passion now for 59 years and running.
The freakish Karol Wojtyla is credited with having said that which actually frames this reality which is, that the Church which calls itself “Catholic” simply cannot be. Purportedly at the “Eucharistic Congress” in Philadelphia, PA, circa 1976, Wojtyla said that the Antichurch was in our midst, preaching the anti-Gospel, all for the purposes of the Antichrist. Further, he intoned that the Church must face this crisis and that the suffering could possibly be mitigated through prayer but no longer avoided. Wojtyla, who would become an anti-Pope of that same Antichurch, of which he himself warned, in the all but perfect Freemasonic masquerade of, “hidden right before your eyes”. You see, can one even begin to imagine a more powerful deception, than for a man to specifically identify the problem that he himself is a provocateur of, and then 2 years later step into the supreme extant position of the “Pontiff” of that same Antichurch that he “prophesied” was in our midst? Only in the mind of Lucifer can such a theatrical production take place as reality, when in truth it is all a perversion of Almighty God’s Reality of His Church.
Wojtyla, the “Great Ecumenizer”, as Louie refers to him, used his charismatic gift of personality to lure in the religions of the world, all of them false but for the Religion of Christ Jesus, “praying” with them at Assisi, etc., in full contradistinction to that which had been previously taught in the General Magisterium, that a Catholic should never engage in prayer with a member of a false religion or sect, as that is contrary to Caritas, leading the other to believe that what they are indeed doing is taking them on their path to the Beatific Vision. He was paving the path for the Antichurch, ecumenical from its very deepest interiority, where all religions and no religion are equal partakers, each with its own path to salvation. This effectively reduced the understanding (lex orandi, lex credendi, lex vivendi) of the One True Faith as simply being the head of “equal” churches, somehow all sanctioned by Almighty God. When in Truth, as God is One, Infinite, Omnipotent, Absolute, Unchanging Being as Being Himself, He can only Author One Religion which teaches One Faith, that of His Beloved Son, Jesus the Christ.
In closing, what we now find in our midst, is the church of the Antichrist and this church calls itself “Catholic”. Its prelates wear the ecclesial robes, it controls the entire temporal edifice, it holds court every Sunday and on Holy Days of obligation, brings in converts to itself, etc, etc, etc. The only visible ecclesial entity of which I am aware that exists yet today that itself remains within the One True Church, is the SSPX. How much longer this lasts in the polemical understanding, only God knows. Only when we truly take Our Ladies’ proclamation to heart and then exercise just what it means in existential praxis, can we see clearly without the veil of Lucifer covering our eyes. Anything short of accepting this as the reality which it is, will continue to breed division and derision among otherwise faithful Catholics, as it can only induce cognitive dissonance. If this creature-beast thing, whose control center is Rome, was authentically Catholic, it could not continue to contradict its own teaching which existed for 2,000 years prior to its manifestation in time and space. Almighty God and His Church do not exist in contradiction. “Rome will lose the Faith and become the Seat of the Antichrist.” In caritas.
Dear Cortez,
in the link below, apart from some additional information, you will find the prayer for these minor Rogation days (before the Ascension) at the end of Lauds in the pre-1962 Divine Liturgy:
http://voxcantor.blogspot.ie/2017/05/today-is-minor-rogation-day-preceding.html
I hope you find this helpful. Wishing you a very blessed Feast of the Ascension of our Lord!
Johnno, can you please explain how heliocentrism is heretical? Even though I have no qualms with geo-centrism, I have never heard that heliocentrism was a heresy. Was geocentrism ever defined dogmatically? Also, the root of the errors of Vatican 2 can be traced to the Garden of Eden if you really think about it.
Ursula, thank you! Just Beautiful!
