Some in the so-called “traditionalist” world, it seems, are practically wetting their shorts with excitement over the “Breaking News” (courtesy of LifeSite News) that Cardinal Raymond Burke is calling for the faithful to “work for the consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.”
In his address today at the Roman Life Forum, Cardinal Burke said:
“Certainly, Pope Saint John Paul II consecrated the world, including Russia, to the Immaculate Heart of Mary on March 25, 1984, but, today, once again, we hear the call of Our Lady of Fatima to consecrate Russia to her Immaculate Heart, in accord with her explicit instruction.”
Is this man even capable of speaking plainly?
What in God’s name does the 1984 consecration of the world have to do with Our Lady’s “explicit instructions”?
Why did Cardinal Burke feel compelled to even bring that up?
Only he can say for certain, but it sure looks to me like someone lacks the testicles to simply speak the truth without equivocation.
Either the consecration of Russia was done, or it wasn’t. Period.
Pay close attention to Burke’s words:
“But, today, once again, we hear the call of Our Lady of Fatima to consecrate Russia…”
Once again?
As reported by LifeSite News:
For those who may still object to calling for the consecration of Russia, Cardinal Burke recalled the words of Pope St. John Paul II who in 1982 during his consecration of the world to the Immaculate Heart noted: “Mary’s appeal is not for just once. Her appeal must be taken up by generation after generation, in accordance with the ever new ‘signs of the times’. It must be unceasingly returned to. It must ever be taken up anew.”
So let me make sure I got this right…
Mary’s simple request for the consecration of Russia (which in truth is God’s request delivered by Our Lady), according to John Paul II, who not only failed to do it over the course of more than a quarter of a century as pope, but created the Assisi abominations as an alternative means of achieving the world peace that she promised, “is not just for once” but “must be unceasingly returned to”?
What a load of steaming excrement.
And for heaping this manure upon the flock Cardinal Burke deserves our esteem?
Cardinal Burke also said:
“The Third Secret is directed, with particular force, to those who exercise the pastoral office in the Church. Their failure to teach the faith, in fidelity to the Church’s constant teaching and practice, whether through a superficial, confused or even worldly approach, and their silence endangers mortally, in the deepest spiritual sense, the very souls for whom they have been consecrated to care spiritually.”
As I recall, the Third Secret as allegedly published in full by the Holy See in the year 2000 said absolutely nothing about a failure on the part of those who exercise the pastoral office in the Church.
Is Cardinal Burke now hinting with winks and nods (because God forbid he should speak like a man) that the Vatican orchestrated a magnificent lie concerning the Third Secret on the watch of John Paul the Great Ecumenist with the help of his faithful sidekick Josef Ratzinger?
It would seem so.
In an article written for the Catholic Herald in July of 2016, some person named Joanna Bogle shared the following:
Back in 2013, when there was an outbreak of lobbying by the Fatimists, I wrote to Cardinal Raymond Burke, then head of the Apostolic Signatura, expressing my concern. He wrote back: “You are correct that there is much confusion about the message of Our Lady of Fatima, caused especially by Fr. Nicholas Gruner, a priest who is not in good standing in the Church, and that this confusion is harmful to many good people who are being led astray about the important message of Our Lady of Fatima.”
As far as I’m concerned, Cardinal Burke has exactly ZERO credibility with respect to Fatima.
If, in fact, he has had a change of heart, great, but the first order of business is this:
He owes Fr. Nicholas Gruner a posthumous, and very public, apology.
Until that happens, you won’t find any hip hip hoorays for Cardinal Burke on these pages.
Funny thing though, your bitter backbiting is a full 180 degrees the gracious response given by Fr. Gruner’s apostolate, a response I’m sure father would share.
http://www.fatima.org/news/newsviews/2017/newsviews0519.asp
Edward, it’s close. Relax. As a personal friend of Father Gruner I can tell you that Louie is dead on.
Archbishop Lefebvre:
“I can hear them say: “You exaggerate! There are many good bishops who pray, who have the Faith, who are edifying, etc”. Were they saints, as soon as they accept the false Religious Liberty, hence the secular State; false ecumenism, and hence the admission of many ways of salvation; of liturgical reform, and hence of the practical negation of the Sacrifice of the Mass; of the new catechisms with all their errors and heresies, they officially contribute to the revolution within the Church and to its destruction.”
The sufferings and ridicule endured by Fr Gruner at the hands of the VII church were exactly what Our Lady spoke of concerning priests who would have devotion to Her, and in our time I can think of no other priest who displayed such genuine love and devotion to Our Lady. Louie you are correct in your feelings that Fr Gruner deserves an apology, although I doubt Fr Gruner would even allow such a thought to enter into his mind. Hopefully Cardinal Burke has finally received the Grace to see the horrors that the VII debaucle has caused to the Church and the world from the blatant disobedience of the Heirarchy in not doing The Consecration of Russia. May God have mercy on us,Our Lady of Fatima, Ora Pro Nobis!
Louie, I think you sentiments on this subject would be more effective if you used less offensive language. It doesn’t add to the importance of what you are saying.
Let’s do some math. If you crunch the numbers, there are approximately 4,400 Bishops in the world, and Fr. Gruner solicited funds after the election of Francis to be able to visit each of these Bishops personally to convince them to do the consecration. If he followed through with this plan, at a rate of one Episcopal visit per day, it would have taken over 12 years just to make the visits! Although Fr. Gruner is known as the “Fatima Priest”, if Pope John Paul II, the Fatima Pope, could not convince but 4 Bishops to agree to do the consecration according to Our Lady’s express instructions, what are the odds that Fr. Gruner could accomplish this daunting task? Where did all that money go??!! Did the $80million donation to the building fund of the SSPX for their new seminary really come from a Jewish lady??!! What are the odds that we were all being played by Mr. Gruner??? Did he not print the apparition of Our Lord at Rianjo to Sister Lucy to tell her that it was too late for the consecration by comparing His Church to the French Kings and the consecration of France to His Sacred Heart…this was in 1936!!! Didn’t he believe what he printed in his own magazine? Where did all of the money go from his many fraudulent campaigns to the world’s Bishops??? This is the same man who printed a story of his having been pricked to bleeding by the invisible crown of thorns of Padre Pio. No one else ever claimed that Padre Pio had such an invisible crown!!! The Fatima Pope deserved canonization for standing up to the American Cardinals and Bishops in the matter of punishing pedophile priests and the Bishops who protected them, but Fr. Gruner??? I think that I can still feel his hand in my purse.
My goodness Sr Mary that was quite a diatribe…..you must be unacquainted with Fr Gruner and taking all your mathematical statistics from those who choose to continue the persecution of faithful priests who are devoted to Our Lady…..please site some facts for all these libelous accusations.
Theresa, well said. May Father Gruner rest in peace.
“[S]omeone lacks the testicles to simply speak the truth without equivocation.”
YES. The effeminate Cardinal Burke is a hero of CatholiCucks, those spayed and neutered “conservative” Catholics. In their lust for respectability, they love his habitual equivocation.
Keep speaking the unvarnished truth, Louie, however unfashionable it may be in today’s empire of lies.
Steaming excrement is an eager attempt at less offensive language, as I detect a valiant effort on Louie part to temper his very righteous anger. I respect your tone and language, Louie. You have given me acceptable words with which to express what is in my heart in these most abominable times.
In fact, I used those very words when referring to the big bang theory this morning. Thanks! Completely appropriate.
Good Saturday morning “Sr. Mary of Joseph”,
It would seem, dear “Sister”, that you should probably spend your diminutive writing attempts at the ad hominem attack of a deceased priest no less, rather at the spiritual clean-up of your “own house”. Perhaps you haven’t yet “received” the message of Our Lady of LaSalette, but of course that Church approved message was only just released in 1846. Then again, that was pre-conciliar and as thus may not mean much to you. In any event, allow me to either inform you or remind you, of one of the very important prophetic messages from Our Lady, our Love and Mother, as the Mother of the One Who Is Love, as her Heart beats as His, which is this: “Many convents are no longer houses of God, but the pastures of Asmodeas [the Devil of impurity] and his sort.” Are you having some less than pure thoughts here, “Sister”, about a now deceased priest, whose only “lime light” in this valley of tears, was the rancorous and vitriolic scorn that you now spew on his all but decomposed corpse? I pray this admonition helps. In caritas.
Very simply put, there are approximately 4400 Bishops in the world. There are 365 days in the year. Fr. Gruner’s quarterly publications published the above accounts, The Catholic Family News reported the contribution of 80 mil by a Jewish lady to the SSPX , and Wanderer Newspaper reported with pictures of Bishop Gregory standing on the St. Peter’s step, telling reporters “We will take what His Holiness says under advisement when we have our next meeting in September”, my calculator and copies of letters sent to a dear blue haired lady friend of mine who was regularly hit up for money are my sources. There is no libel here, just a wake up call. Truth seeker don’t paint all black or all white and refuse to listen when it goes against their preconceived ideas/angsts.
Jesus is the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE. If we don’t look at things through His Eyes, His Meekness, His Love, then we will find ourselves on that slippery slope.
Again, there was no libel, just very thought provoking questions and sources, bread crumbs if you will, for truth seekers.
Another fact, is Fr. Gruner reported, after Cardinals Ratzinger, Sodano, and Bertone debunked Fatima in the year 2000, that he needed money to go to meet with Pope Benedict XVI to do the Consecration. Fr. Gruner wanted to go and speak with this same person that debunked Fatima, made it passe, put their own spin on it and closed the book on Our Lady of Fatima making it un fait accomplis. (Reported by Catholic Family News)
As someone who wishes to imitate Our Lady, the words diatribe and libel should not be used without proof, especially not to a fellow Catholic. That amounts to slander.
Please don’t follow in Mr. Verechio’s footsteps of rants and diatribes. I would not have you ignorant as St. Paul said several times.
If you have an open mind/heart, I recommend you reading the websites: Blood Moons Over Fatima and So As In The Days Of Noah.
https://sites.google.com/site/bloodmoonsoverfatima
https://sites.google.com/site/soasinthedaysofnoah
along with the links. It’s very thought provoking information about the whole picture of Fatima. I will remember you at Mass today.
Please refer to my response to Theresa.
Than you, Louie; You could not have said this one any better. Calling out Cardinal Burke for what he actually is (in my view a Vatican II Modernist) gives me the spiritual strength to go on knowing that others see through this disgraceful fake as well.
Unfortunately, many decent Catholic men and women who fancy themselves as “traditionalists”, see Cardinal Burke as their “savior”; the one who will finally lead the Church back to the truth. How foolish. As to whether he is the “good cop” in a papal good cop/bad cop scheme to further mislead faithful Catholics I couldn’t say; but he does call to my mind the fraudulent scheme Pope John Paul II perpetrated on the faithful almost 30 years ago.
Readers will recall that in an effort to destroy the SSPX, JPII established the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter (FSSP). And while initially it was only to lead the foolish clerics away from the SSPX and the true teachings of the Church, after the motu proprio summorum pontificum, many innocent Catholics blindly followed in the footsteps of the FSSP.
Today, most Catholics who assist at the FSSP Masses are completely unaware that their priests celebrating the TLM have pledged fidelity to the heretical teachings of the Second Vatican Council. Although the sermons that these men preach today do not generally acknowledge their heretical beliefs, one can be certain that the day is coming when they will.
It seems to me, therefore, that Cardinal Burke is being groomed by the Vatican to lead as many of those Catholics over the cliff who are foolish enough to follow him. So when Louie comes out with his guns blazing, I say right on!
Dear Sister Mary of Joseph, I too shall remember you in my daily rosaries. You have proven nothing Sister Mary and you continue in your obstinancy as well as your erroneous opinions.
SMofJ, it’s time to put down the bong and the jar of Blood Moon Juice you’ve been drinking. Your pathetic over-speculative attempts to slander a good priest will not be tolerated here. Especially when it’s as Blood Moon crazy as what you’ve just posted here.
Let’s crunch the facts and the stupidity of your logic. But considering you follow blood moon hoaxes already well debunked, it’s not surprising how you’ve twisted yourself into pretzels over nothing.
First – Please prove to us with quotes or documentation where Fr. Gruner ever said he’s specifically visit every individual bishop in person? And please prove to us that he was not speaking hyperbolically to emphasize his commitment to the cause Fr. Gruner and the Fatima Center’s modus operandi is usually to host a conference in some cities and invite the Bishops there. NOT visit every one specifically. So you’re just talking out of your own butt. So too, there are these things called telephones and letters for written correspondence which are very useful that Fr. Gruner also made use of even before the Internet made it even easier. I recommend you spend less time staring at Blood Moons and divining nonsense with exaggerated extrapolated math based on extremely exaggerated scenarios you imagined in your own head in order to pull out bullshit numbers to slander a deceased and good and holy priest.
Second – Why are you presuming that John Paul II even bothered to contact all the world’s bishops to join him? And even if the Pope failed, why does this negate what Fr. Gruner wanted to do? This is like saying that if the Kings of Israel weren’t doing what God wanted, then the prophets were just wasting their time. Huh? Clearly for all the thoughts you are trying to think, your thinking isn’t really getting you any far.
Thirdly – What money are you talking about? You really think Fr. Gruner and the Fatima Center raised $80 million somewhere??? BWAHAHAHAHAH! Anyone who knows how hard they work and what their setup looks like can laugh your ludicrous imaginary claims away! Maybe all that money is stored on the Moon somewhere! It’s all that coinage reflecting the sun and making it look like the colour of blood! What are the odds that you don’t know what you are talking about but are possessed by some wicked motivation? I’d say the odds are pretty good!
Fourthly – What the heck are you even talking about with regards to the Rianjo apparition? Did YOU even bother to read anything Fr. Gruner wrote? Essentially out Lord telling Lucia that the Popes should not follow the examples of the French Kings and delay the Consecration? Did you actually read it? Because Our Lord didn’t say it was ‘too late’! In fact Christ SAID THE OPPOSITE OF WHAT YOU ARE SAYING! Here:
“Make it known to My ministers that given they follow the example of the King of France in delaying the execution of My command, that they will follow him into misfortune. It will never be too late to have recourse to Jesus and Mary.”
Christ was giving a warning and an ultimatum, and ultimatum not yet met given the events in France took place 100 years later from the day of the request. If anything it makes complete sense for Fr. Gruner to keep doing what he did!
Fifthly – It’s time to put up or shut up. Please provide for us the financial donation numbers for the Fatima center on how much money they supposedly made that you believe was siphoned off somewhere. Please show us that you are not full of BS. Nobody cares about what your personal feelings and thoughts and Blood Moon Astrology make you feel is true. We want factual evidence here of what you are accusing someone of. But those of us well acquainted with the Fatima Center and Fr. Gruner already know you are the one who is a fraud, or simply a crazy unbalanced person.
Sixtly – You sound like a crazy follower of John Paul II, the Pope not of Fatima, but of Assisi Gatherings and Ecumenism with heretics and non Catholics. Is that why you are here now? To slander Fr. Gruner because the clear evidence is that Pope John Paul II was negligent in his duty to obey God to Consecrate Russia, and committed the cause for peace not to Mary, but to praying with non-Catholics to invoke their devils for peace? And then for being silent or part and parcel of the Fatima coverup? Is that why you are now going around spreading LIES? Get behind us Satan! Go back to the Blood Moon you came from!
Regarding my comment above, I guess my pre-Vat II Catholic education made an impression on me. The Good Sisters of Old were known to do that—in a very good way! I’m sure Louie’s language is a symptom of his frustration. Aren’t we all frustrated just trying to be (aka) Catholic?
Apparently Sr. Mary of Joseph never met Father Gruner. I have on various occasions. It is impossible not to be in his presence without feeling his holiness, humility and love of Our Lady. Just talking about the young seers of Fatima brought tears to his eyes. May he rest in eternal peace.
Whoever this is, they are in all likelihood lying. I can’t find any article about any Jewish donation to the SSPX, funny, considering how they are slandered for being anti-Semitic for holding to Church teachings that the Jews need to convert.
Also consider the crazy ramblings that we are supposed to be taking as casting suspicion on Fr. Gruner. “Omigosh! He wanted to meet with Pope Benedict XVI who covered up Fatima!”
Well, no duh! Who else is Fr. Gruner supposed to meet with if not the Pope? The one person who can solve this, even if they were copmlicit? The Dalai Lama??? Oh wait… that’s just what John Paul II would’ve done…
Should the Prophets of Israel have just shrugged their shoulders, “Oh well… the Kings are obviously not going to listen to us and keep encouraging Idol Worship. Maybe we’re just wasting our time. We better stop, least someone out there imagine that we are running a scam just because what we are trying to do seems hopeless!”
What a riot!
It does grow frustrating how many will try to talk around the facts and not cast light on the obvious –
The Consecration of Russia was never done!
No! World Consecrations don’t count just because Russia is part of the world any more than Consecrating all of Jesse’s sons to be King when God only wanted David in order not to offend Jesse and David’s older brothers… To consecrate something is to SPECIFICALLY SET IT APART from everything else!
Pius XII, the only one to Consecrate Russia specifically, was MISLED on the need for the Worlds Bishops to join him, or something funny went on!
John XXIII DISOBEYED GOD AND THE QUEEN OF HEAVEN!
Paul VI CONTINUED THAT DISOBEDIENCE!
John Paul I, the only one who actually wanted to do the Consecration and spoke to Sr. Lucia who prophesied him becoming Pope, mysteriously died early in office, and he himself declared that he wanted nothing to do with the Vatican, for the Devil was there.
John Paul II CONTINUED THAT DISOBEDIENCE! And considered worldly politics and VII Ecumenism as more important than God’s command! Then was likely complicit in covering up Fatima while making himself out to be its most ardent believer.
Pope Benedict XVI CONTINUED THAT DISOBEDIENCE, and from various testimony we know that he was intimately tied in with the cover up.
Pope Francis – will likely continue that disobedience out of sheer ignorance or just plain disbelief like most everything else he does. But who knows? Maybe he’ll get a wake up call, or perhaps he isn’t the Pope anyway, so even if he did Consecrate Russia, who knows if it would work? Or they’ll do it just to use this to claim that Fatimites were always wrong.
I think things in the world are about to get so crazy and the Church look so lost that they only way we’ll discover the True Church amongst the rubble and the true Pope is after the Consecration is done and a public miracle proving it and where the true Pope and Bishops reside after the annihilation of nations.
Well, here’s finally something about those ‘Jews’ and the SSPX.
It’s claimed that the “Gutmanns are donors to the SSPX’s Virginia, U.S.A., seminary project” who are related to Salomon Rothschild.
The facts:
“Evidently the branch of Gutmanns supporting the SSPX converted to the Catholic Faith decades ago. They give their money to the SSPX. So no, the Jews have not bought off the SSPX.
From a link on the site, it appears that the Gutmanns gave ABL a nice estate in 1985. Someone who knows German can interpret it. So if this assertion is correct, the “Jews” have bought off the SSPX going on 30 years.”

And what is the problem Edward?
Did Cardinal Burke not spread false calumny against Fr. Gruner in the past, with the old ‘not a priest in good standing’ line?
Even if Cardinal Burke did so in ignorance, should he not apologize? Or at the very least praise Fr. Gruner’s past efforts when none of them, including Burke would dare to take on what he did?
Should Cardinal Burke not, out of charity, vindicate the efforts of Fr. Gruner when he himself was opposed to him in the past?

Edward,
The following email was sent to Mr. Verrecchio by my Spiritual Director/Priest here at Fatima Revisited:
“We at Fatima Revisited did a test if your website and respondents, yesterday and today through Sr. Mary of Joseph. We wanted to see IF we really should entrust Our Lady of Fatima to your website. You can check the results yourself. You have done a most thorough job of training your respondents in the art of bashing and denigrating even a nun, calumniating her to the max!!! We will therefore keep Her, Our Lady, here in the desert where we can protect and console Her from you and your gang of miscreant thugs, and swallow up the river of filth that you and the Red Dragon are spewing at Her true children. As Our Lord taught His Apostles, we go out into the street, dust ourselves off and go on. It’s obvious that you all have some sort of gnosticism that keeps you from even considering anything that doesn’t originate with you or your genitals, or your bowels. We shan’t stop praying for you until the 7th Trump sounds the “all clear”, especially for you, Mr. Verrecchio, as their Pied Piper, that God doesn’t hold you solely responsible. Your black hat truly does indicate which side you are on, unfortunately. We pray His Mercy on you all. We didn’t expect total agreement, just a little Jesus-like-hearing. We hope this email allows us to see you one day in Heaven, and that Our Lady stops crying.”
Edward, may Our Lady help you in HOLY discernment.
Hey, Al. Read my2cents’ comment above your post. Do even Catholic sites have to indulge in this anatomical hyperbole. Sound like a bunch of today’s liberals. Boundaries, anyone? My2cents is right, Louie. Way too much edge to postings of the last year.
You sum it all up nicely. And as far as the last paragraph goes…personally, I agree.
I’m not at all troubled by Louie’s words. They’re part of a long and noble tradition of invective which, for example, both St. Augustine and St. Jerome engaged in. In fact, Louie’s invective here is lightweight compared to theirs. And I also approve of Dante’s placement of Pope Boniface VIII in hell.
No dear, not close, 180 degrees from Louie’s bile:
“The Fatima Center rejoices at Cardinal Raymond Burke’s call for the proper consecration of Russia by the Pope and all the Catholic bishops of the world “in accord with Her [Our Lady’s] explicit instruction,” asking the faithful the world over to “work for the consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.” “
So let’s get this straight ‘sister’ who goes around denigrating other priests with insanely falsified evidence for some unrecognized group…
Rather than address anything disproving your inane blatherings, now we’re supposed to believe that all this was merely some ‘test’?
You have some divine permission to entrust ‘Our Lady of Fatima’ to others? Is she wrapped up like candy that you just hand out to unsuspecting children to lead back to your blood moon gingerbread house in the woods?
You’re going to ‘keep her’? She is something in your possession? And you can ‘protect her’? And here I thought she was in Heaven already… silly us…
Are the other nuns in sister’s imaginary order also in the habit of making reference to genitals rather than… oh I don’t know… sensible factual discussion? Perhaps you should stick to your cloister in the desert where you can keep and protect your ‘Lady’ and her message from all the rest of the world. Louie and the rest of us will happily proclaim it. A message free for all to follow and spread without ‘Sr. Mary of Joseph’ and her Blood Moon Revisited website spiritual director’s permission.
May Fr. Gruner pray for you and intercede for us all. And may you cease lying and come out from your disorientation.
It’s not only not Catholic but patently irrational.
