Poor, poor man. What is he going to say to Jesus at his particular judgment? “Gee it sounded so good as it came out of my mouth!” “And everyone was saying it!”
–
The god within is the god of surprises. And that because we love surprises! When we can’t release balloons, or dress up as clowns, or sway up the aisle with the ‘gifts’ in silly costumes, we have to go deep, deep, deeper to haul out more surprises from the god within.

Louie, you make all this sound slightly amusing in your sardonic style. But I want to weep.
@Louie : for some reason I can only access your site via a link on Pewsitter.com
When I otherwise try to access http://www.harvestingthefruit.com, I get “this site is temporarily unavailable” IPOWER message.
Just letting you know this in case other subscribers are getting the same error message!
Louie–I’m getting the same message. Getting a little worried about you. You know what they do to Trads!!!!!
-Young Solomon prayed: “O Lord God..Give me wisdom and knowledge..”
-“And God said to Solomon: Because this choice hath pleased thy heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, glory, nor the lives of them that hate thee, nor many days of life: but wisdom and knowledge to be able to judge my people, over which I have made thee king,”
-“Wisdom and knowledge are granted to thee..” (2Chron. 1: 8-11)
=====
[and after many years passed, a large number of “modernists” appeared on the earth, speaking with great great excitement about a new direction and a Spirit of Vatican II, saying things like ” Christ is always doing something new in the life of His Church!” “In Evangelii Gaudium, there is a whole section on how Christ is always doing something new in His Church!”](Blase Cupich, 2015) and “God is the God of surprises… God is always new”…(Pope Francis Oct 13, 2014)
=====
-so the Faithful looked to see what Solomon, son of David, king of Jerusalem, gifted by God with great Wisdom, had written about all these things and read:
-“I have seen all things that are done under the sun, and behold ..Nothing under the sun is new, neither is any man able to say: “Behold this is new” “For it hath already gone before in the ages that were before us.”
___
-and the Faithful wondered why so many of their leaders had failed to realize these things, until they read a bit further and could only sigh, and pray for help::
-“The perverse are hard to be corrected, and the number of fools is infinite.”
(Ecc.1 10, 14-15)
Dear Louie,
We had the same experience for about a day and a half beginning last Sunday after noon. Then it came back up.
Thought you were doing administrative work or something, but wondered….
I had same difficulty. It seems that my “favorites link” became the culprit. When I entered the http://www.havrvestingthefruit.com in the address bar, the website came up. When I retried the link button, the “IPOWER-unavailable” site came up. So I deleted the link then added the Harvesting site to the favorites again. Don’t ask me why, this stuff’s all magic to me.
@Mike : I deleted HTF.com from my favourites list as per your suggestion.
But I’m still getting “this site is temporarily unavailable” IPOWER message.
I tried several search engines (google, yahoo) using HTF.com address and the same site error message also appears when I use each of those search engines too.
Dear All:
.
This is off topic… but maybe not.
.
Is it just me, or do I detect a very “aggressive”, “violent” and “abusive” tone creeping out of Francis and his boys? (words used by MSM incidentally)
.
It started at the Christmas greeting to the Curia. (violent)
.
Then Francis on the plane about punching someone. (abusive)
.
Now Baldiserri talks about “punches thrown” at Council of Nicea. (aggressive)
.
And the rhetorical tone is nothing short of what you would expect from the Democratic Party or the Communist Party of the Soviet Union.
.
What’cha think??
.
Or is it just me?
.
S.A.
PS If I am correct, it would appear as if they are losing the plot. 🙂
They’re getting more impatient at having to pretend to some degree. They think they’ve won, defeated the real Church that is true to the unchanging Faith and morals and thus, can be less guarded, and more open in their vicious contempt for those who uphold the Faith or the moral law. Lord, send us holy priests, bishop and pope. Lord, let Thy Justice be Done!
One question I never hear asked: Who are the poor we keep hearing about and what shall we do for them? Does Francis tell us? Does Cupich tell us?
–
John Paul II talked a lot about subsidiarity. To me this means we look to our own street, block, building, then parish, town, county, state/province/country. Once our next door neighbour is fed, then that couple down the block who are struggling, then those across town, etc. – then we look afar.
–
My particular block looks pretty good to me. Three or four cars in many driveways, kids with IPods alight while they wait for the school bus. Way down at the end of the block there are some ‘subsidized’ apartments but again, you see many sitting on their stoops smoking – at near $10 a pack here, and lots of toys scattered around for the kiddies, and a car in the parking lot…and these are the poor because they are on welfare.
–
Here in Ontario we have a very, very generous welfare system, and an unemployment payment system, and we have ‘free’ health care, and subsidized dental care too. As well, the government gives many grants for starting businesses, and there are myriad subsidized programs for learning everything from computer skills, to hairdressing, to trades.
–
So who are the poor I must walk with? And the ‘marginalized’? Who would they be? Certainly the poor are not marginalized! I’m forced to think about, and talk about, them hourly. Certainly not those who suffer from same-sex attraction! They, too, are front and centre in every single news story, TV show, movie, magazine, and book.
–
Are there many who don’t have as much as I have? Sure. But there is no one in this town who does not have enough to eat. If the welfare cheque doesn’t cover everything before the next one comes, one walks over to the food bank to pick up groceries for the week. If one is on the street (and in this town there are none in the winter!) there is a shelter set up in certain locations where one can be fed and showered, and ‘loved’ until the morning comes.
–
Now before I’m accused of being heartless and mean, and not ‘loving’ the poor let me say that if our bishop had a letter read from the pulpit describing OUR poor, and asking for help for them I would be the first in line.
–
But all we hear is ‘love the poor’ ‘walk with the marginalized’ ‘affirm them where they are’ and on and on.
–
In this world of ours, so sophisticated, so enlightened, so rich, the ONLY cause of hunger is GREED. For heaven sake there is so much food in this world we are fat, sick, stuffed, bloated, gorged, stupefied, and eye-poppingly well-fed. When we send food to those in true need, afar, it is scooped up and consumed or sold by the evil and greedy.
–
So the answer is not feeding the poor. The answer is converting those with food from the sins that will damn them to Hell. That’s what I’m waiting to hear from Poor Francis, and that mealy-mouth cypher Cupich.
–
The type of corporate aid we have institutionalized has separated us from any poor we may accidentally meet – this is the kind of ‘helping the poor’ brought to us by the Alinski crowd – organize!!!! So we’ve got all kinds of money being spent on programs, charities, plans, and on and on, with the actually ‘giving’ way behind in the ‘corporate’ report at the end of the year.
–
So Poor Francis hugs a poor, diseased man – great. So Dolan and Cupich drop in at the shelter and hug some stinky guys who are fed there – great. But then back to the palace, off to that Rotary luncheon, off in the evening to get an award at another dinner, with wine and dessert too!
–
A last thought in this tirade: Remember Our Dear Lord did not eliminate all hunger in his milieu – what He did was feed those in His immediate space – those who followed Him. Then He commanded the rest of us to feed our poor, and to help them convert from their SINS. He also said we were to be content where we were, even if a slave, or very poor!!!! Shhhhhh! Don’t let Poor Francis hear me!
DearDear Barbara,
I was ranting about this to a good friend last evening. Who ARE these poor? Most of us are unable to go to India or Africa to do missionary work. It is not our vocation, darn it!
Our Lady at Fatima told the children, if memory serves, that we would become saints by doing our daily duties. That includes doing as perfectly as possible our cleaning, washing, cooking, teaching, driving grandchildren, — whatever tasks we have taken on for the honor and glory of God and the salvation of souls. I, for one, am sick of this ‘periphery’ stuff. My ‘periphery’ is my family, my students, and my dear Catholic friends and whomever God chooses to place on my path to eternal life.
Cupich and his ilk talk a good talk, but do they walk the walk? Give me a St. Alphonsus Ligouri or St. Vincent de Paul any day over these poor wolves.
May Our Lady grant us wisdom and strength during these dark days.
Yes, Lake Erie, you have fleshed out what I wanted to say.
–
Here’s Our Lord: “for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
–
Poor Francis and the wolves are calling for socialism to combat capitalism – as if it mattered what system we employ!!!
–
Conversion of each individual soul will eliminate poverty in one minute.
–
That’s what’s missing in all the newspeak. Conversion of the individual soul. Where is the preaching of individual salvation? Where is Poor Francis on his knees begging Our Lady to convert Obama?
–
Each action of every individual must be for God’s Glory or it’s a complete waste. To eat too much, to consume anything more than what’s needed for our journey through this world – this is what causes some to go without while we are killing our bodies with excess, and polluting our world with throw-away plastic and old TV sets.
–
AAAAARRRRRGGGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! Our Lady of Fatima please help us to see our sins, and ask Your Son to give us the grace to repent.
Dear All,
Regarding the poor..a few practical suggestions….
There are the physically poor who can be aided by even small sacrifices like donating useable goods to second-hand charities–, furnishings and clothing etc and food pantries. Some supply Catholic nursing homes.; .
There are spiritually poor, who can be helped by donations to Charitable Homes that bring babies into the world as alternatives to abortion, and orphanages…Also Home School- materials providers like Seton Home study School in Front Royal, VA, and Our Lady of the Rosary and many parent-organizations There are poor parishes which provide the TLM, and .. Right to Life groups, International -National- A.L.L, Center for Bio Ethical Reform visits colleges with huge trucks and posters that show what abortion is, –Law Centers that work for Catholic Defense of Pro Lifers and others, Thomas More, Catholic Lawyers Assoc.= (Chris Ferrara’s) If you’re military-minded there are the Catholic Chaplains, Blinded Vets, etc.,
— When it comes to trusting them, we look for groups that sound orthodox, and make phone calls when in doubt to make sure there’s no contraception or sinful support mixed in with the charity. Interview when necessary. .
And if you want to avoid the tons of return mail, just make an anonymous donation occasionally.
,
p.s. The above has in mind avoiding he Cupich-type programs that often go to organizations that aren’t Catholic or faithful. The U.S. has annual collections for such things, that we generally boycott due to reports that link them to the baddies. (Campaign for Human Development is one)
IF,
As far as charity goes, your suggestions are excellent. I, for one, have my own personal charities. There are people we all know that may benefit from a contribution now and then. Maybe they are only on Social Security and have difficulty paying other bills. There are religious communities, such as the Dominican Nuns in Summit, NJ who are raising funds for much needed expansion. As far as the CCHD, CRS, and other alphabet groups go, well, need I say more?
Dear Lake Erie,
As far as the CCHD is concerned we’re convinced by the evidence that they went bad. But regarding the CRS (Catholic relief services,) we’ were not able to find any information either way, but have always been “guarded” because they are so controlled by those in charge of the Church right now, whom we don’t trust. Have you more information on them than that? If so, please share it with us.
Dear IF,
From Creative Minority Report:
“You gotta love Michael Hichborn (Lepanto Institute). He is a guard dog who has chomped on the leg of the enemy and he just won’t let go. He has the (disgusting) goods on Catholic Relief Services.
BALTIMORE, MD, January 27, 2015 (LifeSiteNews.com) — Catholic Relief Services helped implement a sex education program for overseas adolescents that promotes masturbation, “gender identity,” contraceptives, condom use, and abortifacients, along with promoting Planned Parenthood, a new report by the Lepanto Institute says.
The U.S. bishops’ official international humanitarian agency partnered with Georgetown University’s Institute for Reproductive Health (IRH) in developing the program, called “My Changing Body: Fertility and Puberty Awareness for Young People.”
The program was used with 10-14 year-old Rwandan children beginning in 2009-2010.
Read the whole thing, but I advise you that it is disgusting and most profoundly unCatholic.

Dear Lake Erie,
Thank you. This is another great work of charity, to spread the word to fellow Catholics about what to AVOID and denounce.
God Bless you for your diligence, and Louie for providing a place to exercise it..
Anyone else having problems with the video cutting out? God bless~
Dear IF,
Thank you for your very kind words. They are much appreciated, as are all your insights.
May Our Lady bless and protect all neo-Pelagian Promethians with who walk around with faces like holy cards counting their Rosaries.
